Or you can read it as ..

By the way .. 68 HKD (Hong Kong Dollars) equates to $8.83 U.S. Dollars .. just in case you are wondering ..

Last night .. Sunday the 18th of January 2015 .. was the FINAL production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA here in Hong Kong for this tour. I was fortunate to see THE PHANTOM five (5) times here in Hong Kong as shown by my ticket stubs below. Over the past 20 some years I have seen THE PHANTOM nearly thirty (30) times.

DSCN9678[1]

Here are a few photos of the Hong Kong Asia World ‘Theater’ .. In the below two photos .. to either side of the stage you see the illuminated letters The PHANTOM of the OPERA. These are actually large television screens similar to professional sporting event venues with their television screens where you can really see up close live action photos of the actors during the performance.

DSCN9573[1]

The theater management STRESSED NO PHOTOS during the performance and I fully complied.

I found the below statement amusing!

NOW TO THE JUMBO SUBMARINE SANDWICH!

One last (the third) time I will show you the below photo of the sign for the Jumbo Submarine Sandwich ..

DSCN9661[1]

Below is THE REST OF THE STORY concerning what the catering and restaurant management are calling the Jumbo Submarine sandwich!

DSCN9660[1]

I can NOT speak for any of you following me here .. BUT I CALL THE ABOVE A HOT DOGYES a LARGE or indeed a JUMBO HOT DOG!

But call it what you will .. in the U.S. this is indeed a HOT DOG!

DSCN9650[1]

On the HOT DOG you can see cucumber and tomato slices with colorful ribbons of catsup (red) and mayonnaise (white).

DSCN9649[1]

These are indeed JUMBO HOT DOGS!

DSCN9662[1]

DSCN9664[1]

MOVING RIGHT ALONG HERE .. on MY HOT DOGS you will find MUSTARD!

To MAKE ROOM for the mustard I enjoy all of the cucumber and tomato slices and then lick off the catsup and mayonnaise!

DSCN9655[1]

Above I’ve finished off the cucumber and tomato slices and am ready to lick off the catsup and mayonnaise .. the MUSTARD is ON THE READY!

DSCN9665[1]

In FACT ON MY Hot Dogs you will find a LOT of mustard.

DSCN9667[1]

And let me to tell you that EATING THESE Submarine Sandwiches is a JOB

These submarine HOT DOGS are by far the largest HOT DOGS that I have ever eaten! Not only are they long (a 12-inch Hot Dog) but the bun and the HOT DOG itself are larger than other foot-longs that I have eaten.

DSCN9668[1]OPEN WIDE CAPTAIN!

DSCN9672[2]

“What happened to our Captain?” ..

“He was walking along the street here in Hong Kong saying to himself .. ‘IF I get any happier I am going to vaporize!’ .. The next thing we knew our Captain just disappeared!”

This is my story and I am STICKING TO IT!

SMILES .. Cap

WELL, it is OBVIOUS from your broad smile in each of the photographs that you were thoroughly enchanted with and enjoying the Jumbo Sub Sandwich (aka, a giant hot dog). At first I was thinking, “How nice, Cap asked someone to take these pictures of him and someone was gracious enough to agree.” Then, I remembered that Simon was at Phantom with you! Looks like quite a feast!!! It is nice to see you so happy…just DON’T vaporize! Love and hugs. Patti

I had two (2) Hot Dog (oops .. Jumbo Submarine .. ) photo shoots. One by a complete stranger .. and one by Simon. So YES it was nice of a complete stranger to do several photos of me with the Hot Dog. Simon was the second photo shoot on the final night.

Such fun .. Such Joy .. NOW you must come and have one with me .. Much Love .. Cap ..

You could try out for a role in Phantom of the Opera. You probably know all the lines. How’s your singing voice?

Now I enjoy my hot dogs with lots of ketchup and some onion.

Shaddy .. IF you revisit this site for my replies get this: When THE PHANTOM was in San Francisco in the mid 1990s I did try out for a job as an usher. I was never able to get a job ushering THE PHANTOM but I did usher other stage plays for awhile on Geary Blvd in San Francisco’s Theatre District .. Smiles .. Cap ..

They look like Casper’s hot dogs that Costco sometimes sells on a seasonal basis. I love them. They’re the only hot dogs I’ve found that aren’t full of sweeteners. I’m in line with you about mustard, though I usually wind up wearing some of it.

Last day in India. My flight to Chicago and on to Seattle leaves at 2 A.M. We have this day free, but have been advised to stay in the hotel unless we go out with one of the guides who will keep us in safe areas. Obama is coming in a couple days for Republic Day festivities and the terror alert is high for Americans. They just caught a couple guys with rifles and a bunch of ammo.

I’m enjoying my day in my room, getting caught up on stuff and trying to get over this wretched cold.

I got mustard ALL OVER THE FRONT of me Jeanne. I could not believe it nor how I managed to do so. I had to go home and wash my shirt as well as my jacket. Have a bit of Hot Dog with your mustard. Patti said you still have the cold. So nice to know you are home and safe and sound .. We can’t wait for your Posts about India .. Cheerio .. Cap ..

I have found that recipes and food lose something in the translation. In India, cottage cheese is what we call tofu. Cheesecake is like mousse.

    1. Cap

These are not the only things lost in the translation in India. They love to fry the cheese (Paneer) in India and use it in many dishes .. Smiles .. Cap ..
