WHEN IS IT GOING TO HAPPEN?

Today I have an answer so it is not really a RHETORICAL QUESTION is it?

IT has already happened as in the past tense!

IT happened in Sai Kung!

Hum-m-m .. I am kind of sort of hungry .. What to do? .. Sit in-the-pack with all of the others on the bus? .. What to do? .. Hum-m-m I think that I will just take a little look-around from the bus terminal here ..

NO! .. It can’t be! .. OR can it? .. Patti and Robbie and David and ‘Zilla have already seen IT! Knowing me their eight eagle eyes went right straight to IT!

IT just jumped right out at the four of them!

I am going to do IT for the first time ever here in the Hong Kong Metro Area and I am going to do IT right here and right now in Sai Kung!

Let me tell you all I REALLY ENJOYED the Sai Kung Subway Tuna Foot-Long!

HKG$ 56.80 translates to US$ 7.38 a nice deal for a foot-long!

Patti asked me about the cat bird seat when I went back to the bus. Believe it or not .. and I could NOT believe it .. but I got the front seat in the upper deck .. GO FIGURE .. these kind and gentle people must save it for tourists like myself! It was a different bus with an even longer line.

THE REST OF THE STORY .. In September of 2001 ‘Zilla and my son Robbie came to Alaska to visit Patti and myself. Patti and Robbie of course knew what was coming in the eating-out department. After a few days ‘Zilla calmly stated: “Cap I did NOT come to Alaska to eat at each and at every single Subway Sandwich Shop in this great and large state!”

    Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! It is fun to see you have FINALLY ordered your favorite “Tuna” Subway Sandwich there in Hong Kong, knowing how VERY much you enjoy them!
    And, the final coup was getting your “cat-bird” seat on the later bus after enjoying your sandwich. A win, win, win excursion. Yea! Love and hugs. Patti

      What is WRONG with these people who turn their noses up at the front and center cat-bird seats in the upper deck? LOVED the tuna foot long .. LOVED IT! .. Love!

    Hope you enjoyed your 1000 calorie tuna salad sandwich with 460 calories coming from fat. Next to my favorite, the seasonal pastrami on flatbread with nothing added but mustard, it’s the fattiest, highest calorie sandwich Subway makes. That’s why they taste so good, I guess. The chicken with bacon and cheese gives our favorites a run for the money. Just not fair, is it?

      You are TOO TOO funny. Everything I love is illegal immoral or fattening? Do you remember THAT years ago saying? Who said life is fair! The baked chicken sandwich is probably the best sandwich I think. Smiles ..

    You know what you like, Cap. I wouldn’t stand between you and any McDonald’s, Subway or Burger King unless I wanted to be run over!!!! Or one of those noodle places!!! Eating sure beats standing in line waiting. I’m not good at waiting. NO, NO, NEVER!!

    Monday, February 23, 2015 – 11:30 am PDT

    Hi Cap,

    This was hockey weekend in the States so I wasn’t able to get to your blog until today! I had a game on Friday night, a “Reign” all day fun day on Saturday at Ontario; and the big outdoor game in San Jose vs Kings on Saturday and than a game on Sunday afternoon! A great hockey weekend – as we say wish you were here – but since you ate a 12-inch tuna subway sandwich that kinda eases the pain! It’s hard to believe we had an outdoor game in Northern California when the weather here in So Cal is about 80 degrees!!

    Yes, we had a very nifty visit in your lovely home State in Alaska back in 2001! I’m looking forward to another visit if you ever return to Alaska??!! Ha! You certainly are having a great visit and love your blogs and photos.

    Of course we do hope your help with your buddy goes well, but as you noted he may have difficult issues to over come. Claudia and I have our fingers crossed your assistance will help him to improve – and all for the better – a big task… I’m sorry I missed your call, I was probably at a hockey game.
