APR 26, 15 .. CAP AND PATTI .. ENJOYING HONG KONG .. PART 6 OF 10

I believe that those of us interested in various sports and athletic events have all heard the expression ..

RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN !

DSCN1695[1]

This past Friday evening when Patti and I went down into the Hong Kong MTR we encountered the above situation!

In my five months here in Hong Kong the above crowd of people WAITING TO BOARD the MTR SET A NEW RECORD for crowding in the MTR!

You have to realize that the above crowd of people were trying to board and to enter an MTR car that looked like the below car ..

YES I AGREE! This and other crowding experiences here in Hong Kong are not for everyone!

DSCN1683[1]

As you can see above .. generally the crowds are quite good humored!

Yes ‘Zilla? What did Patti and I do about the above crowd in the MTR? We went to the other side of the platform and we ‘back rode’ one station to the beginning of the line. There we were able to get seats. When we then encountered the above station we watched in amazement as the crowd poured into the car! Yes it can be a real chore to de-train!

HONG KONG PARK is wonderful. Patti and I did a short walk-through the park last Friday. Below are three views I snapped while we were in the park.

LAMMA ISLAND REVISITED ..

We had already visited SOK KWU WAN village 0n Lamma Island earlier.

DSCN1583[1]

SOK KWU WAN is very small and it is limited in scope to fishing and seafood restaurants ..

This past week we visited YUNG SHUE WAN a much larger and more tourist-friendly village on Lamma Island.

Below you can see the relationship between these two Lamma Island settlements.

Below are a few photos just to give you an idea of Yung Shue Wan Village. I plan to put up a more detailed post later.

Hello Cap and Patti! Michele ~your dental hygienist~ here :) Thank you for keeping your blog so current, love and enjoy the stories and pictures. Patti, this last picture of you is wonderful… you radiate happiness! We got your postcard at the office, thanks for thinking of us during your adventures!

I was checking your travel plans to see exactly where you are at this time, as I seem to recall your plans were to go to India after Hong Kong? Had to make sure you were not near the area of the recent earthquake… Great to see you are both safe… and happy!

    All my best, Michele
