Hello everyone, admin Andrej here.
I believe one of Caps email addresses has been compromised.
I received the following message this evening Nov. 1st. at 9:45 pm est

I hope this finds you well and with love! Briefly, I traveled to Turkey on a short vacation, last night on my way back to my hotel room I was robbed at gunpoint, my wallet and other valuables were stolen off me, leaving my passport and life safe. My luggage is still in custody of the hotel management pending when I make payment on outstanding bills I owe. I contacted my bank via (E-mail) for a wire transfer but it has proven almost Impossible to operate my account from here as they made me understand international transactions take 7 working days to be effective which I can’t wait. I need you to help me with a loan to pay my hotel bills and get my self home. I will reimburse you soon as I get back Home.Let me know if you can be of help.
So sorry to have to relay the sad news.

If any of you have received this same message or a similar one from a legitimate looking e-mail Cap has used in the past please DO NOT repeat DO NOT respond to it in a reply.
If you know anyone he emails ..please warn them also
I will have Cap post a response to this as soon as I speak with him and we can get to the bottom of this. It is only an email address that seems compromised not the blog itself so feel free to post a comment

Received same email this evening. I have, through the years, received similar emails from others who had ben hacked, and I don’t recall Cap making any travel plans to Turkey, so it was easy to guess it was a phishing expedition. I immediately got to this site, and see you’re already on it. Will spread the word as well. Thanks for posting!

Cap will have to discontinue using that mail address.
Unfortunately, it is being intercepted by someone else who is quite sophisticated. It actually is his email address which means some one else can see the responses. Probably a hack in Asia.
I have not heard from him as of yet but will I figure something out to secure his communications without causing him too much of a learning curve.

I, too, received that message. Obvious fake. Sorry this is happening, because I wanted to email him about something, Hope it gets sorted out soon.
Yes Linda its better to wait. I still haven’t heard from Cap or Pattie but they may be out on an foray. When he calls me I will post a message.

gullible here. Just returned from up north so Cap will soon find out. i received the same plea for $$$$.
Thank You all for your replies .. I am amazed they did NOT change my password .. Well I have changed it and I did a full .. several hours .. security scan of my computer here in Mongolia .. NO malware NO problems surfaced .. Go figure ..
