NOV 14, 16 .. RAS AL KHAIMAH .. TODAY’S RHETORICAL QUESTION

Because I am so enjoying being here in Ras Al Khaimah, and because I plan to stay a few additional nights, yesterday evening I asked the front desk about the view from the other side of the hotel. I was not thinking at all about another, and a far better, setup for my laptop. I was told to come back this afternoon after check out time and see if they had any rooms available.

As it turned out they had only one room that was available. I looked at it and loved both the view and instantly saw that it had a superior setup for my laptop. I asked when I could move into this room. I expected to be told tomorrow after check out time.

I was told, “You can move into it right now.”

I jumped at the chance. Yes it was a bit of a job because I was really settled into Room 321 and was really enjoying it a lot. Because I had to move from the 3rd floor down to the 2nd floor, it took a little more effort than moving across the hall.

The envelope please. 

Today’s Rhetorical Question Is: Do hotel rooms have feelings?

For the sake of the argument, I will opt that they have feelings. This being the case, Al Ras Khaimah Hotel Room Number 321 is feeling very sad right now.

“Dad! I thought that you loved me.”  / SIGN ME /  ROOM 321

“How could I make myself look any better Dad?”

“You went to a lot of work to make my table work for you and your laptop!”

“I thought that you really liked my views.”

“Room 321, what you say is all true. I do love you. You were my first room ever in Ras Al Khaimah. You and your views are both nice. I got your table fixed up just right for me. But I wanted to check out my options for another room.”

“Hi Dad! I am happy to see you move in Dad.” / SIGN ME /  ROOM 223

Notice in the above and below photos, the chair and the extremely wide desk.

“Dad I understand that my cousin up on the 3rd floor is feeling sad. She will get over it. My setup for you and for you computer is far superior to what you had worked out for yourself up in Room 321.”

“You have far more room than you did on her small table. My chair fits just perfectly under my very large and wide desk.”

Sad as it was to leave Room 321, the above set up for my laptop is just outstanding.

“Dad! Come on over to my window and see my views. Yes her views were nice but I think that you will really like my views a lot!”

“Dad I have had people reject me because they wanted her more quiet views.”

“Do you like what you see Dad?”

“Yes indeed! I sure like your views a lot.”

The above photos look either straight out my window or to the right.

The below photos look to the left. The views to the left are not quite as spectacular as are some of the above views. But, they are what they are, and I am finding them to be of interest.

On Monday evening the 14th of November 2016, I am now moved into Room 223. I have paid through Wednesday night and I may very well stay longer.

I feel that this was an excellent move on my behalf.
