The museum is located at 1411 West Webster Road just West of its intersection with Crooks Road, in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Patti and I are very active on Trip Advisor, and, under Things To Do in Royal Oak, we found the museum.

It looked very interesting to us so Patti and I visited the museum to check-it-out. We were very fortunate because the curator of the museum, Muriel Versagi, was present and hosted us during our visit.

The museum is located in a former fire department station that I remember oh-so-well from childhood onward. I grew up here and attended Northwood Elementary School (September 1941 to June 1948), Oak Ridge Junior High School (September 1948 to June 1950) and Royal Oak Senior High School (September 1950 to June 1954) graduating on June 17th, 1954.

We will start out by viewing the former fire station in which the museum resides.

To enter the museum, you proceed up the adjoining driveway to the rear of the former fire station.

As you can see in the below photos, there is certainly ample parking available for visitors.

Just outside of the entrance is a small monument to a very elderly school bell.

The entrance to the museum is at the rear of the former fire department station.

We are now inside the museum.

There you have-it. A quick tour through the Royal Oak (Michigan) Historical Society Museum.

Smiles..

Patti and Cap
