MAR 5, 18 .. OH JOY! TODAY IS MOVING DAY
When I set up the reservation here at the Travelodge Knights Inn, off I-17 at Cactus Road (the top left red balloon ) here in Phoenix, I took the absolute maximum number of days I could for the rate quoted ($50.90-per-night), which was good only for 21 days.
Unbeknownst to me, it turns out that the month of March is a ‘high-season rate-period’ because of all of the Major League Spring Training baseball games (in 10 ballparks) being played by the teams (15 of them) who train here in the springtime.
So today we are moving to Motel 6 down I-17 at Indian School Road (the lower left red balloon ). I have paid in full for our room at this Motel 6 ($69.46-per-night) through Sunday the 18th checking out (or due to) on Monday the 19th of March.
The two right red balloons are the Mayo Hospital and the Mayo Clinic (extreme right red balloon ) way out on Shea Blvd almost to Fountain Hills.
We two are spending hours (I kid you not) driving to and from our medical appointments. HOURS.
So we will be busy this morning packing up and checking out and moving on down the I-17 corridor to stay with a very old friend, Motel 6.
By The Way, the above motel rates were / and are, the absolute lowest rates we could get on Priceline.
