MAR 22, 18 .. WELCOME! SPRING 2018!

Winter 2018 has officially passed and Spring 2018 has emerged.

Patti and I ‘cleared’ our medical calendars for the next two full weeks. We just took some appointments off-the-table. We both need to take-a-break from the medical issues.

A Promise Made Is A Debt Unpaid.

I promised you, and I promised myself, to STOP daily medical reports. Yes they have continued. YES they will continue. April the 11th Patti has almost an all-day series of three medical appointments ending in a full spinal MRI. She will see her doctor on April the 12th to go over the results thereof. She has continued to see a physical therapist for her on-going back pain. My nose bleed issues seem to be doing OK after surviving my melt-down a week or so ago on March the 13th. See my last Post. Absolutely NO vertigo issues at all. Zero. Zip. De Nada. Go figure.

Today we are driving North and East from Phoenix to Payson, Arizona, to spend one night in Payson.

On our way to Payson last Saturday we did a quick, St. Patrick’s Day visit, to Fountain Hills, Arizona.

What’s in Fountain Hills, Arizona? The World Famous Fountain!

The World Famous Fountain turns green on St. Patick’s Day.

Yes indeed. It turns green. The crowd was enormous. I parked some distance away and walked back to catch-up with Patti.

Hello Payson, Arizona.

Payson is in the mountains and gets into the high 30’s at night.

There are some things we want to see and to do again in much more detail.

Zane Grey was an Ohio dentist who took-to-writing Western Stories.

We want to revisit the Museum.

We only touched-base with it last Saturday.

We really want to visit the Mogollon Rim (red balloon ).

Below you see it from a distance.

Milepost 257 is a famous milepost in Alaska for Robb and me. Here is it again in Payson, Arizona.

A great Payson Restaurant.

Greek and Traditonal Caesar Salads at Gerardo’s in Payson.

Payson has a McDonald’s.

The Payson McDonald’s is very attractive.

Double 1/4-Pounder with lettuce and tomato.

It is March. It is time for McDonald’s Shamrock Milkshakes.

Yes. I know. I have been more than a little remiss with my Posts here on Dot.Net. What can I say?

Still Smiling we two.

Thanks so very much for following along with us Linda. We will look for your e-mail about your own travel plans. Smiles from Patti and myself.

Glad to see you’re having fun away from the clinic. I have been wondering what you were up to. Is the desert in bloom? Drive the Apache Trail! Very scenic.

Thanks for the suggestion about the Apache Trail. NO, at this point-in-time the desert is NOT yet in bloom. We hope to see it in-bloom before we leave in late April. Smiles.

I went to the above link and read :

Still, I have a warning for you: This drive is not for nervous drivers, and definitely not for nervous passengers.

We will have to look-into-it. WOW. I just looked-into-it. We could do this drive coming back from Payson. Take HWY 188 South from its junction with HYW 87. Then South to HWY 88 and back to Phoenix. Thanks again. We may have to come back to Payson and stay-awhile.

It isn’t a scary drive at all, Cap. Maybe for city folk, but not for folks like us. Be sure to take lots of SD cards for your camera and plan on a full day because you will want to stop frequently.
