NOV 30, 2018 … CAP’S WONDERWORLD SPINS ON …

Cap and Dr. Mike took a prop plane flight of 2 1/2 hours from Irkutsk to Kyzyl, Russian Siberia where they will be (and towns nearby) for about (at least?) a week – and the beat goes on!! Cap said it was quite a process getting through two security check points at the airport in Irkutsk, but 15 minutes before the flight was due to leave, he texted that they were on the plane. They had left for the airport 2 1/2 hours before the flight, so, it obviously was quite a process.

They arrived safely, on time, in Kyzyl and were met by an energetic weloming committee of people including a Shaman, in Shaman clothes and shoes.  Cap said the Shaman fussed over him (gave him blessings?)!  Cap and I spoke as the group was in the car, all of them calling out greetings to me.  As we were speaking, they stopped the car and told Cap they were “in the center of Asia” (whatever that means) and he needed to get out to see the monument of what that was all about.  I am sure you may hear about it in a future post.  Next they stopped at a modest buffet restaurant where he enjoyed potato/meat soup, black bread, and a large piece of cake.  He has also been able to buy three 5 liter bottles of water in transit.  For one who NEEDS his liquids, that is crucial.  He sounds very animated … so does the whole group!

Cap and Mike are now settled in for their night … with no internet and no WiFi where they are staying.  Although Cap is able to text me, I cannot text back, nor could I get a call through to him (in response to his text) on our International Calling Card for over 2 hours and 20 minutes of trying every ten minutes.  I just kept getting a recording that said, “Your call cannot be completed at this time, please try again in a few minutes.”  I am finally accepting that I cannot get through.  Maybe he will find a library in the next day or so, with WiFi and Internet.  And maybe he will be in a location where I CAN return a call to him on the International Calling Card, and then either Cap will get to put up a post or I will.  Stay tuned!

It has, for many years, been amazing to me to be witness to how Cap’s life plays out. He DOES seem to me to have a spirit that guides him into one  !!WOW!!  experience after another. The best part of it is he just goes with the flow and lives in the center of one awesome story unfolding after another. I am blessed to be a part of his life.
