FEB 3, 19 (Part 1 of 2) – CAP’S FRUSTRATION – NO INTERNET
Cap is already into his morning of Monday, February 4th .. and yet another day of no internet availability in his flat in Irkutsk. Apparently the landlord has not paid to have it active and is preoccupied with the birth of a new baby in the last few days. The landlord has said he will take care of it. Meanwhile, Cap is frustrated that he is not personally in touch with all of you followers via his posts. Going to the library is not an option today as it is -26 .. too cold to be walking to the tram stop, waiting in the cold for the tram, and then walking again from where he departs the tram and walks to the library. So I am sending greetings on his behalf. On the phone, minutes ago, he said he was going to go back to bed .. good choice Cap!
I leave Anchorage on Thursday to begin my trip to join Cap. The packing process is in full motion, my things and the things Cap has asked me to bring for him. The Suburban that was stolen last Monday night and then retrieved on Wednesday morning is still in the repair shop. I continue to hope to get it back and into commercial storage before I leave. If that does not happen, I will have to make arrangements for someone else here to get it into storage.
Even with our challenges, we are both looking forward to our reunion on the other side of the world!
