FEB 18, 19 .. TOMORROW WE MOVE TO A HOTEL AT INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

TOMORROW WE MOVE TO A HOTEL AT INCHEON AIRPORT.

We wanted a change of scene, to be close to the airport for our Friday flight to Irkutsk Russian Siberia and we want to see the Korean War Memorial located in the city of Incheon honoring the Incheon Amphibious Invasion of the Korean War.

God Willing, and the Creek Don’t Rise, on the day before I / we have to pack-it-up and move-it-all-out, we like to take it easy and go low key.

So we spent the afternoon with our Seoul friends, Terry and Kathy who are our long time friends who used to live in Anchorage, Alaska, and without whom our visit here to Seoul, South Korea, would have been far (as in FAR) more complex and difficult. Joining us was Terry and Kathy’s friend Peter who lives down in the Osan area.

Peter and Patti and I have become instant best-of-friends.

We five enjoyed a fine lunch served by Terry and then we watched the Movie, ‘Patch Adams’, starring Robin Williams.  The movie was followed by elegant apple dumplings (baked by Terry) and icecream.

Sadly, as is a truth in all of life, the time came to call it a visit and say our Goodbyes.

I wrote .. “Terry and I walked Peter to the Subway.”

Then I stopped mid-sentence and changed this to the following..

“Terry and I walked Peter to the Seoul underground subway train station.

Had I just written ..  “Terry and I walked Peter to the Subway.”

Some of you / perhaps all (??) of you, may have instantly conjured up the below scenario..

“How nice! Cap and Terry and Peter stepped out for a tuna-footlong!”

As Terry and Peter and I walked to the underground subway station, I snapped a few photos of the incredibly beautiful buildings we were in the midst of.

Patti has ‘adopted’ the below building on the right  here in Seoul, South Korea as her favorite building.

So these particular eight photos are for Patti to enjoy with you all.

Terry and Kathy are surrounded by these beautiful buildings.

Terry called to my attention the below most interesting sculpture. I had completely missed it.

A nice photo of Patti.

Looking directly out of our Crown Hotel window.

Looking to the right.

Looking to the left.

Miles of Smiles .. Patti and Cap
