MAY 8, 19 .. KIROV SQUARE, IRKUTSK, RUSSIAN SIBERIA.

Many, if not all, major cities have their ‘signature’ park. New York has Central Park. San Francisco has Golden Gate Park.

Here in Irkutsk, Russian Siberia, the ‘signature’ park is Kirov Square.

Below are two maps showing the location of Kirov Square. In the first two maps, the red balloon on the upper right  points to Kirov Square. The red balloon on the lower left  points to the location of our apartment building. Patti and I take about 30-minutes to walk to Kirov Square. YOU (the young and the strong) would walk it in 15-minutes.

By the way, you can ‘play’ with the maps by clicking onto the + and the – buttons in the lower right corner of each map. You can also put your cursor onto the maps and move them around. If you do this, in the third map you will see a closer view of our apartment building.
