SEP 23, 19 .. THE SUMMER KNOWS .. ONE LAST CARESS, IT’S TIME TO DRESS FOR FALL

Today the seasons of the year 2019 change.
 
Today Summer ends and Autumn begins.
 
Autumn 2019 : The fall equinox is today Monday September the 23rd.

The 2019 equinox will begin at 3:50 a.m Eastern Standard Time. At that precise moment, the sun will be directly in line with the equator.

The seasons of the year.
 
The seasons of life itself.
 
Autumn gets more and more poignant for me each year. At age 83, although I certainly don’t know which it is, I feel that I probably am now into the late Autumn of my life or even the early Winter.
 
Spring ended for me decades ago. Summer too certainly has ended for me.
 
Or has it?
 
But if it has ended, when did my Summer end and when did the Autumn of my life begin? I can’t say with any certainty. The issue is this : I would think that the very peak of one’s life would define the very height of Summer.
 
IF that be the case, I am right smack dab in the middle of my Summer. This amazing past year has got to be one of the greatest highlights of my life to date. My entire life experience has prepared me for what I am now doing. 
 
Could it be that my life will be 25% Spring and 70% Summer? How many people lay down to go to sleep and their life ends peacefully.
 
Where was their Autumn and Winter? 
 
Attitude. So much of life is our Attitude.

IF I feel that I am into my late Summer or early Autumn of my life, who’s to say I’m not?
 
Then again, Autumn has always been a favorite season for me. So IF that is the height of life, then I am tickled to be in Autumn.

    Very thoughtful musing. Beautiful song. We never know . . could go to sleep and that is it. Our adventure of experiencing three seasons in Siberia, the visit to South Korea on the front end, and the touch base with Hong Kong for me before my return to the states are some of the most remarkable several months of my life as well. It is a major blessing to be sharing this life, these seasons with you. We need to treasure every minute, every day, every season.

    Good post/good song. Just imo – I am a “glass 1/2 full ” type by nature. Gratitude List daily. Would I like to have the physical ability I had 20-30-40 years ago ? Sure, but the “things we cannot change” would include our Date of Birth – good musing though – this is motivating me up off the sofa & out to walk a few miles in the Mohave!
