FEB 28, 20 .. SAFELY INTO VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA
Last night we could not adequately ‘visualize’ our being here in Victorville, California, tomorrow (now) at this time (last night).
We left Tempe (Phoenix), Arizona, at 9:50am and arrived here in Victorville seven hours later. Our total mileage was 371.7 miles.
The weather was perfect (very pleasant mid 70’s) until we arrived into Indio, California, where it warmed up into the mid 80’s. We also encountered some Friday afternoon rush hour traffic in the greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. Once we had left the greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area, I got in the back of our GMC Suburban (we have a mattress in the back) and slept for half an hour. We made one stop in Quartzsite, Arizona, to fill up our gas tank before crossing into California where gasoline is more expensive than in Arizona. I then drove the remainder of the trip.
We are at our friend ‘Zilla’s home so I jumped online here because I was not able to successfully get online at our motel. Time will tell if that situation gets corrected.
For now you know we are here safe and sound.

Glad you made it safely to Victorville, that’s quite a drive! It continues to be a winter wonderland in Girdwood, although 70’s sounds pretty inviting. Love to you both!
