NOV 4 / NOV 8, 20 .. IT LOOKS LIKE WINTER IS HERE-TO-STAY

This week we have had steady temperatures well below 32°F (down to the 3°F area) so there is a probability that the snow from our third snow will remain on-the-ground for-the-duration. Snow from the first two snowfalls basically melted.

From our living room.

From our bedroom window looking out towards the street in front of our Condo.

Looking out towards our parking lot.

Much of this past week for us has been occupied watching the election results and the endless rhetoric surrounding the event. So far (knock on wood) we have not lost one single friend over the election and the results to date.

To Feel Good Do Good

Friday the 6th was special in that I participated in a zoom meeting involving the University from which I obtained my Civil Engineering Degree and several students who benefited from small scholarships that I provided for them. It was about a half-hour in duration and we really had a very satisfying interchange. All were veterans of the United States Military and seemed to be very interested in my military service and why I had chosen to dontate money to each of them. One replied that he would ‘Pay-It-Forward’ since he could not repay me. Again, a most gratifying session.

Then, an hour after the above zoom meeting, Patti and I chaired a second zoom meeting during which I shared my own personal experience, strength and hope. Again it was a most gratifying meeting with attendees not only from Alaska but also from both North and South Carolina as well as Wisconsin.

Yes driving has been more than a tad dicey (unpredictable and potentially dangerous) these past few days.

Smiles Cap and Hugs from Patti
