NOV 11, 20 .. VETERAN’S DAY 2020 .. THE SOUND OF ‘TAPS’ PLAYING ..
Today it is Veteran’s Day here in the United States, a day when some of us pause to reflect upon those who have served, and to those who are currently serving, in the United States Military.
During our televised news this evening (because we have a significant military community here in the Anchorage Metro Area) a scene was shown of a bugler playing ‘Taps’ at a military cemetery. It was riviting and deeply touching.
The best decison of my life to this moment in time was my decision to enlist in the United States Marine Corps (January 29, 1958). My father served in the United States Coast Guard. My eldest son served in the United States Army. My youngest son served in the United States Air Force. After I completed my service in the Marine Corps I was commissioned as a officer in the United States Navy.
I solemnly salute all of you who have served. In my opinion it is a not-to-be-missed life adventure.

I’m glad that you’re still well and happy.
The Wuhan Flu has spared you and me too.
I got to Europe and Chernobyl last year but
the lockdown has me down.
Happy Thanksgiving my
