JAN 16, 21 .. HAPPINESS IS ?? IT SURE DOES VARY FROM MOMENT TO MOMENT
Yesterday’s Post (see the below link if you missed it) was about Patti and I getting our Covid-19 (first) vaccination in a series of two.
So yesterday morning, HAPPINESS WAS :
.. Just getting the initial Covid-19 vaccination. This was an enormous event for the two of us.
.. The vaccination was absolutely painless (I myself did not even feel it).
.. Basically, neither Patti nor I had any reaction whatsoever to the vaccination. Some people (even healthcare professionals) have had unpleasant reactions almost immediately after their vaccinations.
Then, after we got home from the hospital, and extending well into the afternoon and early evening..
HAPPINESS WAS : We continued to have no reactions. I did not feel anything all day. Patti felt a slight soreness in her shoulder.
Pretty much throughout the day, both of us kept moving and rotating our arms as we were asked to do by the nurses at the hospital.
THEN CONCERN BEGAN TO RAISE IT’S HEAD-OF-DOUBT.
Paranoia runs deep. Into your head it will creep.
I would say that (in so far as I can rememer) each and every single vaccination that I have ever had (flu shots, pneumonia shots, shingles shots, you name them) left me with (at least) some soreness and tightness and minor discomfort (or much more with my recent shingles shot) in the upper arm where the vaccination was administered.
So I was (1) looking forward to and (2) fully expecting to (by bedtime) feel ‘something’ in my upper left arm.
Da Nada. Nothing. Zippo.
About 11:30pm last night, as I lay down to go to sleep, with some relief, I said to Patti : “I think that I am feeling something, a tightness, a soreness in my upper left arm.”
HAPPINESS IS :
This morning, when I woke up, and right now as I type these words, my upper left arm ‘feels-like’ I actually got the Covid-19 immunization yesterday morning.
HAPPINESS IS :
Still absolutely no other reactions, minor or more significant.
As I said in our above title : HAPPINESS IS ?? IT SURE DOES VARY FROM MOMENT TO MOMENT

Ditto with previous vaccinations. I wonder if the bit of discomfort and edema is an indication of our antibodies forming to fight the good fight?
I don’t know. I was under the impression that the Covid-19 vaccines create in our blood a hostile climate to the virus rather than the traditional creation of antibodies. We googled it and the wealth of information swamped our ability to understand. Smiles .. Cap and Patti
