JAN 19, 21 .. LAS VEGAS FOR OPENERS .. MY COVID-19 VACCINE FREE-RIDE ENDED
On the hunch no one wants to hear about my Covid-19 immunization ‘adventure’, I decided to begin with four photos that our great friend Ginny, out in Las Vegas, Nevada, sent us while waiting for her ‘sweetie’ Tom Tiger to fly in from Detroit, Michigan, and (to quote Tom) ‘neighboring cities’.

I don’t know how the phrase, Enjoy the moment, was inserted into the above and below photos. My hunch is that Ginny inserted the words because she is VERY Infomation Technology Savvy. It sure IS Great Advice !!

COVID-19 – MY MODERNA VACCINATION
In our Posts dated last Friday the 15th, and Saturday the 16th, it looked (more or less to me) that I was getting a bit of a free-ride in that I had not developed any particularly bothersome reactions or symptoms from the vaccination.
Well I still have not developed any really bothersome symptoms but yesterday, Sunday the 17th, I told Patti that I was feeling so tired that I wondered if I would be able to watch yesterday’s late afternoon NFL football playoff game. I got online and googled the possible reactions from the Moderna vaccination.
Common Side Effects
The most commonly reported side effects, which typically lasted several days, were pain at the injection site, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes in the same arm as the injection, nausea and vomiting, and fever. Of note, more people experienced these side effects after the second dose than after the first dose, so it is important for vaccination providers and recipients to expect that there may be some side effects after either dose, but even more so after the second dose.
Then an odd thing happened. I just totally accepted the idea that I was having some side effects from the vaccination and, on the spot, began to drink copious amounts of water mixed with my Chocolate Ensure supplement.
And that was that. The ingestion of a lot of liquid picked me up and I enjoyed the late afternooon game.
Yesterday, Monday, the same situation occurred. I had slept over 12 hours Sunday night but in the late afternoon again began to feel so tired that I wondered what was happening. Again I began to drink fluids and as happened Sunday the extreme tiredness just faded away.
Go figure. Bottom line, both of us are absolutely pleased that we got the vaccinations.
If you’re tired you go lay down and rest. That is no biggie is it?

Well, what a fun night in Vegas! I loved looking at the giant ferris 🎡 turn all different colors from our room on the 19th floor! Cap, you can choose a sticker from your camera then snap a picture and WaLau,sticker. Smiles, hugs and love Ginny and Tom. PS: I told my sweetie I wanted a ferris 🎡 out in the dessert so I can look at it out our living room window!!
