SEP 14, 21 .. WHAT IS IT THEY SAY ? NEVER SAY NEVER !

I have to begin this Post with a heartfelt Thank You Tom Tiger. It was YOU Tom who first made me aware of Jeopardy. Patti had followed Jeopardy in years past and was well aware of the program.

One of the things that intrigue Jeopardy watchers are the twelve categories of Jeopardy questions on each program. Each program, mind you! (all of this in a 30-minute show) has 61 questions. 60 questions come from the two sets of categories. The first part of the show is Jeopardy with 6 categories of 5 questions each. The second part of the show is Double Jeopardy with another 6 categories of 5 questions each. The 61st question is the final Jeopardy category and question.

I think, just for fun, (I don’t have them at this instant) in some future post (or posts) we will publish examples of Jeopardy categories.

Patti and I began following Jeopardy last April, when we were in Yuma, Arizona, after it was announced that Aaron Rodgers (the famous Quarterback for the Green Bay Packers NFL team) was going to guest host Jeopardy for two weeks. I couldn’t wait to see what Jeopardy would look like with Aaron Rodgers hosting the program!

And? After watching Aaron Rodgers host Jeopardy, we have continued (almost daily) to watch Jeopardy. At the end of this past ‘2021 season’ one winner (Matt Amodio), had won 18 consecutive shows amassing over one half a million dollars ($574,801) in winnings.

Sometime this past August, the 2021 season for Jeopardy ended.

For perhaps the last four weeks, Patti and I have been counting down to Monday, September 13th, 2021, the day this new season of Jeopardy begins.

We can hardly wait to see IF Matt Amodio would continue to win more games.

6pm Monday, September 13, 2021 finally arrived.

“Hot Diggety Dog Patti. It’s time for Jeopardy.”

And?

We turned on our televison set eagerly looking forward to Jeopardy and what on earth was on : Monday Night Football was on! Instead of Jeopardy!

I was aggravated and so too was Patti (more disappointed than aggravated).

NEVER SAY NEVER CAPTAIN !

On a zero to 100 scale, there was a time when me being aggravated because Monday Night Football was being shown, and Jeopardy was NOT being shown, would have been a solid 100, as in NO WAY EVER! Monday Night Football rules Monday Nights!

“THAT would never, ever happen with me!” A game show being more important than Monday Night Football! NO way!!

But last night that is exactly what happened.

What to do?

We watched the second half of the Baltmore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders in an absolutely astounding game. Las Vegas won the game in overtime (and NO I am not going to bore you with the numerous details that made the game one game in one hundred games any football fan waits for).

And? After the game ..

Jeopardy came on and Patti and I had our cake and got to eat it too.

Smiling .. Cap and Patti

Oh by the way. Matt Amodio won his 19th show on Monday night and added another $67,800 to his above winnings!
