MAY 24, 13 .. HONG KONG MISCELLANEOUS .. PART I ..
Just-in-case some of you haven’t gotten-it .. I REALLY LOVE and I REALLY ENJOY the experience of International Travel. I snapped the below photograph as I was leaving New Delhi for Hong Kong late Sunday evening on May 12th. I wanted to share the below photograph with you since some of you will NEVER get to look up at such exotic destinations on your Departing-Flights-Board in a Major International Airport such as New Delhi.
My flight on the above Board was Hong Kong .. the 4th departing flight up-from-the-bottom just below Paris. What a ‘thrill’ it still is for me at age 76 years and a lifetime of international travel to see the above exotic destinations AND to be going to one of them.

I don’t know what you think of China. Many things I am positive. Do you think of China as modern? Do you think of China as being progressive and ahead-of-the-times? Do you think of China as being somewhat non-religious? Do you think of China as being a nation of Atheists? I snapped the below two photographs in an elevator in one of the high-rise super-modern buildings in Kowloon.
I wonder how many of you .. IF any of you .. ‘will-get-it’ when you look-over the above and the below photos.
PERSONALLY I WAS SHOCKED WHEN ..
I noticed that there was NOT a 13th Floor in the building! Do you think the Chinese feel that the Number 13 might be ‘unlucky’? Does this fit-in with how you feel about the Chinese?
“Talk about making-something-out-of-nothing-at-all Captain! You are pushing-the-envelope here!” .. “Really? Wait until you see the photos below of two soda-pop bottles ‘masquerading’ as Vitamin ‘C’! “

In the below photo notice the tan-colored building directly above and behind the bus .. also notice the sky-scraper in the fog.
The below photo was taken from the 9th floor of my YMCA and is one of my favorite photos of Hong Kong Island and City. In it you will see the tan-colored building and the sky-scraper in the fog I mention above. This just ties-together my YMCA and the above photos of the tea plants.
I really enjoy this view.

You seemingly always have cruise ships docked in Kowloon.

Silly huh? This Lemon Flavored Vitamin ‘C’ drink was wonderful when I was ‘forcing’ fluids with the head-cold I caught.
So? What is it I am supposed to do when these inanimate objects keep saying .. “Dad! Take a photo of at least one or two of us!”

Inanimate objects? So? What is it I am supposed to do when human-animate-beings ask me to .. “Take my picture!” It began with the first gentleman below.
Then his buddy ‘joined-in’ for a photo.
YOU TOO WOULD BE SMILING if you too were looking at the LARGEST RUBBER DUCKY THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN .. GO FIGURE!
This thing was ENORMOUS!
“Captain?” .. “Yes.” .. “Time to quit-while-you’re ahead.” .. “Oh yes!”
