SEP 18, 19 .. I THINK THAT .. GULLIBLE ASKED THE WRONG ‘RHETORICAL QUESTION’

In a comment to my Post dated September 14th, Gullible asked..

“Cap, will you ever run out of projects?”

At the rate I am going here, Gullible may be thinking..

“Cap are you ever going to stop showing us all of these projects you are doing?”

Yes I will.  But right now, getting organized here is taking up a lot of my time.

Gullible also asked in the same comment.. “Cap, where did the burgers come from?”

I replied .. From the Blue Sky Hotel and Tower.

Of course I can’t read-Gullible’s-mind.

Gullible’s amazing website states : “I’m going to speak my mind because I have nothing to lose.” — S.I. Hayakawa

Just in case you haven’t checked it lately, here is a link to Gullible’s website..

But IF I could read Gullible’s mind, it may’ve been thinking the above hamburgers came from Millie’s Cafe here in Ulaanbaatar.

In November of the year 2015, Gullible, who was here in Ulaanbaatar with Patti and me, asked the afternoon of the day before we were leaving Ulaanbaatar, if we three could go to Millie’s Cafe.

I said, “Where is Millie’s Cafe? How do you know about it?”

“I saw it on Trip Advisor.”

“What is Trip Advisor?” I replied.

Gullible (thinking silently may’ve thought) ..

“Cap have you been living all of these years under-a-rock?”

I replied.. “There is no way we can find Millie’s with us leaving in the early morning tomorrow!”

Ah BUT Gullible had planted-a-seed in my mind.

In response to Gullible’s inquiry, in March of 2016 I found Trip Advisor. Then I promptly found Millie’s. Now I have published something around one thousand, two hundred, and fifty six (1,256) Trip Advisor Posts.

“Yes Gullible I have already been to Millie’s! “

“Yes Gullible! Daniel is still there. When I walked into Millie’s he leapt up to greet me. Then we called Patti and Daniel visited with her for awhile.”

Millie’s is one great home-away-from-home for many travelers to Ulaanbaatar.

Tuna Sandwich on toast with a salad. Oh My Oh My !

It is NOT possible for me to leave Millies’s and NOT shoot the below scene that I walk past.

The Choijin Temple and The Blue Sky Hotel and Tower.

My cell phone just rang.

Unknown caller.

I picked up.

“Is this Cap? I heard you were leading the 8am meeting tomorrow morning. Is this true?”

“Yes it is.”

“I’ll be there.”

Word is out.

Smiles from one of the luckiest Men Alive.

A friend e-mailed me.

“Cap. I don’t understand what you are doing with all of these boxes. You say you are gluing them?”

Notice below that my first pair of mini-waste baskets have multiplied.

I am gluing the top and end flaps to the sides of the boxes to make the boxes much more rigid and strong. Also, some boxes I don’t want the top and end flaps in my way because I will use some of the boxes wide open where I can see into them.

I am giggling at myself.

I see now why you were having such fun with this post. I simply cannot ever imagine you running out of projects! Fun to see what Daniel (from Millie’s) looked like as he and I were spanning the globe as we talked briefly. I love the saying on their menu that they do not serve fast food, but that they serve fresh, wholesome food as fast as they can. Without Gullible you may very well never have become aware of Millie’s. Your box projects remind me of how you “furnished” your flat in Hong Kong with boxes and scrounged pieces of wood. Ingenious!! And, with the phone call about the meeting you are chairing for three weeks .. the word is out .. CAP IS IN TOWN!! Giggling and smiling with you. Love, hugs. Patti
