SEP 15, 21 .. TO FEEL GOOD .. DO GOOD .. A DAY IN PATTI’S LIFE
Yesterday .. Tuesday the 14th of September 2021.
Patti was up at 0430 hours (4:30AM in the early, dark, Alaska morning).
Easy? Guess Again Tonto!! For one thing, knowing you have got to be up and going at 0430 hours (4:30AM) you don’t really sleep well!!
Patti drove across town (say a good 20 minute drive) to pick up a friend.
Oh!! By the Way!! It was raining yesterday morning at 0500 hours (5AM).
Patti then drove her friend back across Anchorage to have her at the Surgery Center at 0600 hours (6:00AM). Yes it was still raining.
After getting her friend into the system at the Surgery Center, Patti came home and crashed on our couch (restlessly sleeping) awaiting a phone call from the Surgery Center telling Patti that her friend’s Surgery was complete and to come and pick her up.
Patti then picked her friend up at the Surgery Center, took her to a pharmacy for some medication and then home (back across Anchorage).
In the mid-afternoon we two crashed and slept for three or so hours.
All in a Patti Day.

Love the “ILLNESS BECOMES WELLNESS” sign, a reminder that WE are all in this together, this long yet too short unpredictable trip through life, and the “we” instead of “I” perspective is necessary for the survival not only of us as individuals but the survival of humanity as a species. “I” leads to greed and exploitation, but “we” leads to sharing and shared responsibility for each other. And Patti up at 0430 to get a friend to surgery through a dark and rainy Alaska morning?!? That’s sharing and caring for each other, right there, on the nose.
Truer words were never spoken Danny. When we focus upon ourselves (that being the I) we lose track of the rest of the species. When we make this a WE journey, and try our very best to proceed down the path of WE, all of us have a greater chance. Thanks for your interest and comment Danny. Cap and Patti beside me.
