SEP 13, 22 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

This past weekend was unique and special in term of professional football (the NFL). This weekend was the first weekend of the season. From here on, until the Super Bowl, February 12th 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, each and every weekend (including Thursday and Monday nights) much of the football loving segment of our population will be ‘tuned into’ the NFL games.

All of you NON NFL football fans listen up, and even you rabid NFL fans listen up. For What It’s Worth, please don’t worry. We are not going to cover the NFL games we watch during the upcoming National Football League season. Make no mistake, Patti and I WILL be tuned in each weekend to selected NFL games of interest to us. That’s for sure. But we’re not going discuss them here on dotnet.

Monday Night Football, September 12, 2022, last night.

The game actually rose up to its pre-game hype. Until the final 20 seconds of the game, the winner was in doubt. Then, on 4th down, Denver missed wide left on a long, 64 yard, field goal attempt by Denvers Brandon McMannus and that-was-that for the Broncos!! Lots of post game chit-chat as to why Denver didn’t let Russell Wilson go for it on 4th down and 5, hopefully to gain some yardage so the field goal attempt would be shorter than 64 yards out instead of opting for the long field goal. Of course, had the field goal been successful, everyone would be applauding Denver!!

And Patti and I both enjoyed the game immensely, talking often to both Gullible and Greg, who lives in Seattle so close to the Stadium that he can hear the roar of the crowd!!

Over And Out ..
