MAR 23, 23 .. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH

Last September the 21st 2022, I did NOT publish a post here on dotnet.

Beginning the next day on September the 22nd 2022, I have not missed one single, solitary day.

Translation : September 22nd to March 23rd is six months. Prior to this “six month string of consecutive Posts”, going back to the inception of dotnet on August the 16th 2011, there have only been two (2) individual months where I did not miss one day. It is fair to say that never again in this lifetime will I be able to put together another consecutive string of posts to equal this one. Now, this instant, I am “aiming” at continuing this streak through this month. That would make it a string of six consecutive full months (October through March).

Did I begin this string of Posts “with this in mind”? Absolutely, positively, there is No Way I had any expectations along this line !

So What ?

So nothing !

Who Cares?

There is an interesting dichotomy (a division or contrast between two things that are or are represented as being opposed or entirely different) going around within my mind. I DO care yet, on the other hand, I don’t really care. Therein is the dichotomy. I Care / I Don’t Care. Polar opposites.

This is all 100% inside of my head.

Yes ! Oh Yes Indeed ! Ever increasingly I have published a Post NOT wanting to snap this string of Posts.

So here is my Bottom Line : I will continue to go forward until the string snaps. I will NOT decide to intentionally snap it. Were I travelling internationally, I would never have been able to do this. You can’t be “travelling for 36 hours” and continue to publish Posts. Well maybe you could but ..

A detractor could state : Some of those Posts, during the past six months, don’t deserve to be published.

But, so far, I have not published a post for the sole reason of not wanting to break the string.

A serious, major, health crisis. An internet crisis. Losing my laptop. There are a lot of reasons to acknowledge that there is some luck involved. Especially when we are on the road and may be unable to get internet service. That has happened (especially at Motel 6 in Phoenix) but “the fates” have intervened and “saved the day”.

So here we go loop de loop for another day..

And Yes Oh Yes ! Beginning with our Friends and Allies Gullible (with all of her African Safari contributions) and Ginny,, to name just two of YOU .. Many of YOU have “saved the day” with your contributions of thoughts and especially photographs. Patti remains the “Wind Beneath My Wings”.

Gullible, in a recent email, made a suggestion that I instantly adopted with regard to a Post last Monday.

Then she sent the below photo that “Cracked Patti and I Up”.

We continue to giggle over this photo Gullible !

Gullible said :  “You are making a mistake coming back to Alaska April the 1st. Stay where you are until May!”

To help Gullilble “Make her Point”, Pete (who is keeping our truck  up in Anchorage) sent the below photo.

“Cap ! I hope I can dig out your truck before I head to Massachusetts.”

“Like life, I am doing a little digging one day at a time.”

And ?

Ciao4now ! See you again tomorrow ? We hope so !

We here on the Eastern Kenai Peninsula have been inundated with snow the last few days. Much more than your Suburban has on it in the photo. Hope the hood and roof didn’t bend.

Too funny Gullible! Of course Spring IS after all Spring. Spring begins either on March 1st or on the day of the Vernal Equinox March 20th this year. What we face next week could be a very CHALLENGING Spring. We always enjoy your comments. Cap and Patti
