I have very PERFECTIONIST tendencies .. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Have any of you ever heard of the .. ‘ Three Ps ‘ .. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Here they are .. ‘ The Three Ps ‘ .. and they are KILLERS ..<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perfectionism leads to Procrastination leads to Paralysis ..<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

My crippling Perfectionism ( I want to do\u00a0this PERFECTLY ) leads me straight to Procrastination ( since I am afraid that I cannot do this Perfectly I will set it aside for now) and this then leads me into Paralysis ( and Paralyzed .. I\u00a0may not ever get around to doing it) ..<\/strong><\/p>\n

Years ago .. YEARS ago .. I read the below quotation and IT CHANGED MY LIFE .. say this slowly .. say this aloud .. say this one word at a time .. with meditation .. put a long pause between the phrases ..\u00a0 I AM ONLY ONE ( long pause) .. BUT STILL ( long pause) .. (with emphasis !\u00a0 with intent !) I\u00a0 AM\u00a0 ONE .. here we go ..<\/strong><\/p>\n

I AM ONLY ONE .. BUT STILL .. I AM ONE ..<\/strong><\/p>\n

I CANNOT DO EVERYTHING .. BUT STILL .. I CAN DO SOMETHING ..<\/strong><\/p>\n

AND BECAUSE I CANNOT DO EVERYTHING .. <\/strong><\/p>\n

I WILL NOT REFUSE TO DO THE SOMETHING I CAN DO ..\u00a0 edward everett hale <\/strong><\/p>\n

How do I USE these words .. the INSTANT THAT I FIND MYSELF PROCRASTINATING .. the INSTANT THAT I FIND MYSELF ‘PUTTING OFF DOING’ SOMETHING .. I immediately ask myself .. ” What is it here that I am trying to do perfectly .. and since I feel I cannot do it perfectly .. I am procrastinating .. I am putting it off .. why am I allowing my perfectionism to win over my accomplishing\u00a0this task.. “<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every word I write .. every photo I post .. I want to be ‘ just so ‘ .. so I say .. ” Well .. I sure can’t write this perfectly .. I can’t possibly decide which one photo is the perfect photo to post .. so I ask myself .. ” W<\/strong>hat CAN I DO here .. and then I try to DO WHAT I CAN DO ” ..<\/strong><\/p>\n

WITH GOD’S HELP .. WITH GOD’S ASSISTANCE .. I WILL NOT REFUSE TO DO THE SOMETHING THAT I CAN DO!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
