While reading a magazine to Patti last night, I came across a thirty two (32) year old bookmark (dated back to April of 1990) :<\/p>\n

HUGS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It’s wondrous what a hug can do,<\/p>\n

A hug can cheer you when you’re blue.<\/p>\n

A hug can say, “I love you so.”<\/p>\n

or “Gee I hate to see you go.”<\/p>\n

A hug is, “Welcome back again!”<\/p>\n

and “Great to see you!” or<\/p>\n

“Where’ve you been?”<\/p>\n

A hug can soothe a small child’s pain<\/p>\n

And bring a rainbow after rain.<\/p>\n

The hug! There’s just no doubt about it,<\/p>\n

We scarcely could survive without it.<\/p>\n

A hug delights and warms and charms,<\/p>\n

It must be why God gave us arms.<\/p>\n

Hugs are great for fathers and mothers,<\/p>\n

Sweet for sisters, swell for brothers,<\/p>\n

and chances are some favorite aunts<\/p>\n

love them more than potted plants.<\/p>\n

Kittens crave them. Puppies love them.<\/p>\n

Heads of State are not above them.<\/p>\n

A hug can break the language barrier,<\/p>\n

And make the dullest day seem merrier.<\/p>\n

No need to fret about the store of ’em,<\/p>\n

The more you give, the more there<\/p>\n

are of ’em.<\/p>\n

So stretch those arms without delay<\/p>\n

and give someone a hug today.<\/p>\n
