Back on May the 12th, I was walking in our local Walmart Store, going down the soup aisle, when I heard a very small voice, in obvious distress cry out..<\/p>\n

“Dad! Please don’t step on me Dad! It hurts to be stepped upon! I am so sad! I am going to be thrown away in the trash!”<\/p>\n

– – – – – – – –<\/span><\/p>\n

Three things here.<\/p>\n

One, I nearly opened up a new category to describe this Post .. “Captain! You’ve Got To Be Kidding!”<\/p>\n

Two, much more important however is that the childhood story, The Velveteen Rabbit, was one of my all time favorites.<\/p>\n

The Velveteen Rabbit, chronicles the story of a stuffed<\/a>\u00a0rabbit<\/a>‘s<\/span> desire to become real through the love of his owner. The story was first published in\u00a0Harper’s Bazaar<\/a> just over one hundred (100) years ago in 1921.<\/p>\n

Three, as recently as yesterday, I promised to tell The Rest Of This Story today.<\/p>\n

I looked down on the floor and there I saw a sad and dirty children’s stuffed Bunny! I reached down and, picking her up, I put her into the children’s seat in my shopping cart and assured her, “I’ve gotcha “Little Bunny”! I’ve gotcha! You will be O.K!”<\/p>\n

And home to our Condo I came with “Little Bunny”.<\/p>\n

The name “Little Bunny” takes us back to\u00a0 “Little Bit”, the name of Michael’s precious dog.<\/p>\n

I did not think to take “before” and “after” photos of “Little Bunny” I just washed her up (I think children’s stuffed animals are made to endure washing!) and she is really pleased to be here with not only Patti and me, but with a small plethora of other stuffed animals that we have here in our Condo keeping us company.<\/p>\n

A very, VERY HAPPY “Little Bunny”<\/p>\n

Patti likes calling her “Honey Bunny”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Patti also calls her “Hon Bun” or “Honey Bun”.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We sort of alternate between calling her Honey Bunny and Little Bunny.<\/p>\n

So! “Little Bunny” is going to officially become “Honey Bunny \/ Little Bunny!”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Little Honey Bunny occupies a prominent place in our living room. We touch her often during the day.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Little Honey Bunny just loves to rest on the arm of our sofa!<\/p>\n

And? Now You Know ..<\/p>\n
