TODAY’S RHETORICAL QUESTION .. “WHY?”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Why has it has taken me a full month to share the below information with you my friends, pals, confidants, supporters and followers?<\/p>\n

Why? I’m not sure.<\/p>\n

Am I embarrassed? One friend suggested this possibility.<\/p>\n

Maybe, BUT I am not so embarrassed that I am not going to say anything about it. IF I had included this information in my September 5th and 6th “Birthday Posts”, it seems like it would have “thrown a damper” on my Birthday! An otherwise “Outstanding” day.<\/p>\n

From the beginning.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, September the 5th, I celebrated my 87th Birthday.<\/p>\n

My Birthday was all that I wanted it to be! Casual, low key, very relaxed. Patti and I just stayed home and “chilled out”!<\/p>\n

It was around 11:30pm in the very late evening, the end of a very pleasant Birthday.<\/p>\n

And??<\/p>\n

TODAY’S SECOND RHETORICAL QUESTION : “WHY?”\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Why did I fall?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I was just casually walking, or ambling, from our bedroom into the living room here in our Condo and..<\/p>\n

With absolutely no warning, I pitched forward and ..<\/p>\n

I FELL!!\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Why? A full month later I can not answer this question!<\/p>\n

At the age of 87 years, each and every single fall is a recipe for disaster. In my opinion, there are NO minor falls! Yes you may fall, and yes you may NOT get hurt or injured in any way whatsoever, BUT it is still a serious event. I know of five instances when someone fell, in their home, hit their heads on something and DIED DEAD ON THE SPOT! In their own home!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

A daughter of one of them may be reading along here.<\/p>\n

Kit! I will never, ever, forget about your mom, Barbara!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I was not overly tired. I was not rushing. And I have absolutely no idea as to why on this good earth I suddenly pitched forward and down I went with a LOUD scream<\/span><\/em><\/span> that frightened the daylights out of Patti!<\/p>\n

And it looks like I will never know the “Why?”.<\/p>\n

Did I get hurt? NO!<\/p>\n

Was I injured in any way?<\/p>\n

NOT so far! A full month later I have NO symptoms that I can trace back to my fall.<\/p>\n

I fell forward onto a carpeted rug. I hit absolutely nothing as I went down. Oh yes! There are things I sure could have hit my head on but I didn’t!<\/p>\n

There are many helpful hints about : “How To Avoid Falling In Your Own Home!”.<\/p>\n

And? After a full month to “Think About This Fall”, I cannot add one single reason.<\/p>\n

O.K. !!<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

IF the mythical-gun was put to my head and I was told : “Captain! Come up with a reason for your fall or else!”<\/p>\n

I would say : “I think that I tripped over my own two feet!”<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The simple truth is that I learned absolutely nothing from my fall. I have nothing new that I can share with anyone as to “How To Avoid Falling In Your Own Home!”.<\/p>\n

Enough Huh!!<\/p>\n

I have begun to use a cane here in my own home! I don’t want, I don’t need, another fall, here or anywhere!<\/p>\n
