\nLadakh..<\/span><\/h3>\n

IF THIS goes anywhere it will be a miracle..<\/p>\n

THE TRIP NORTH FROM PADUM TO KARGIL..<\/p>\n

First.. a note about dentistry.. I grind my teeth at
\nnight..so my dentist made me a dental night guard.. it fits
\nmy upper teeth.. is heavy poly or plastic.. and separates my
\ntop teeth from my bottom teeth.. got it..<\/p>\n

Second..\u00a0 athletes in major contact sports..
\nfootball.. ice hockey.. boxing.. wear the same thing only
\ncall it a \u2018mouth piece\u2019.. got it..<\/p>\n

Third.. one (l) minute (60) seconds..<\/p>\n

OK here we go.. Padum in the Zanskar Valley North to
\nKargil..<\/p>\n

I was at the bus.. in the rain.. one hour early.. boarded
\ngot settled early..<\/p>\n

The bus left precisely at 4 o\u2019clock in the AM.. Sunday ..
\nAugust 10th..<\/p>\n

GET THIS.. THIS TELLS YOU ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW..<\/p>\n

We had only been going one minute..\u00a0 and it was so bad
\nI thought I was going to break some teeth.. so I got into my
\nback pack and got out my dental night guard.. or my \u2018mouth
\npiece\u2019 and wore it the rest of the trip..<\/p>\n

THAT IS HOW BAD THE ROAD IS..<\/p>\n

I had a window seat.. moved myself to an aisle seat.. with
\na vertical pole beside my aisle seat.. for the trip I held
\ntightly to the pole.. when we hit a horrible bump.. which was
\noften.. I held myself up off the seat using the vertical
\npole to support me.. so I would not injure my spine..<\/p>\n

THAT IS HOW BAD THE ROAD IS..<\/p>\n

The seats were bad.. no leg room.. I had to ride side
\nsaddle.. my feet and my legs out in the aisle.. fighting
\nwith the baggage IN the aisle..<\/p>\n

No arm rests.. but the screws that used to hold them
\nremained..\u00a0 my own arm rest was a danger..<\/p>\n

Being a local bus of sorts.. people were on.. and people
\nwere off.. climbing.. walking on top of the luggage in the
\naisle..<\/p>\n

Falling onto me and others..<\/p>\n

We left at precisely\u00a0 4 o\u2019clock AM and arrived into
\nKargil at 7:06 PM.. they all lied.. the ride for me was
\nFIFTEEN HOURS AND SIX MINUTES..<\/p>\n

I thought I was going to lose my mind..<\/p>\n

THAT IS HOW BAD IT WAS..<\/p>\n

My hotel room has no electricity.. I had to get water from
\nthe water well.. and am about to sign off because I want
\nthis out..<\/p>\n

I LEAVE TOMORROW.. MONDAY.. AUGUST 11th.. at 4 o\u2019clock AM
\nfor Leh..<\/p>\n

I could write a book about today.. can\u2019t do\u00a0 it..
\nhave to be ready at 3 o\u2019clock..<\/p>\n

THIS ONE RIDE QUALIFIES ME AS A WORLD TRAVELLER..<\/p>\n
