JUST.. BEGIN.. TO.. WRITE..\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Bottom Line : Patti and I are safely home in our Condo in Anchorage.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

A few of you really know of how (call it challenging) our life has been as we have been getting ready to pack up and leave Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where we have “wintered” since last November the 10th 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Deep breath. I feel like I could write a small book of short stories about our past week or so.<\/p>\n

I am NOT going to do so.<\/p>\n

Let me begin with THIS POST right THIS INSTANT.<\/p>\n

I am sitting, in our Condo, in Anchorage, Alaska, on line with maximum bar strength writing.<\/p>\n

AND NOW .. THE REST OF THE STORY ..<\/span><\/em><\/span> Oh Thank You So Very Much Mister Revered Paul Harvey for those lines and stories you told.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, I said to myself.. “I have got to call GCI (our internet service provider) and tell GCI that I want our internet turned back on Thursday the 24th of April!”<\/p>\n

SENIOR MOMENT.. I absolutely, totally forgot to do what I needed to do to have internet when we came home.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Now please “get with me”..<\/p>\n

Yesterday, on April the 24th, sitting aboard our Delta Airlines flight from Las Vegas, Nevada, about to land in Seattle, Washington, I thought ..”Oh my! I totally forgot to call GCI to get our internet reinstated!”<\/p>\n

Are you “with me”?<\/p>\n

So, as we are landing<\/em><\/span>, I called GCI. I got a service representative. I explained what I wanted to do. He said, “I have to verify you Sir.” He sent me a code via a text message which I read back to him. (We have now landed and are taxiing to our arrival gate). Then he had to go through a long process. (I am now walking off the plane, pushing carry on bags, amidst a crowd of people, carrying on a conversation with GCI). Sitting in a wheel chair I continued this “song and dance”. (We are now at our departure gate for our Seattle to Anchorage flight). We are maybe 90% of the way finished with this process. I got dropped.<\/em><\/span> I boarded the plane and, sitting in my seat, GCI called me back and we finished our process!<\/p>\n

I asked my GCI Service Representative: “Sir, when will my internet service be reinstated?” (I dreaded his answer of maybe in one week). By now I was Cap to him. “Cap! Your internet will be reactivated in fifteen (15) minutes.<\/p>\n

THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING..<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

NOT IN THE RECIPE!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Patti and I got home. THAT was another process. Our truck battery was dead. I had to call and get that serviced. THAT took time and cost money. And it was cold to us 43\u00b0F after a winter in sunny Arizona, and Voila. As you can see, we DO have internet in our condo!<\/p>\n

It is 2:48am Friday, April the 25th. It is bedtime for us!<\/p>\n

No more stories tonight.<\/p>\n
