How could we not show CHOCOLATE DAY on NATIONAL TODAY??<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Actually, this is the first time here on dotnet, that we have looked at National Chocolate Day!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY..<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

National Chocolate Day, is celebrated each October 28.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The history of chocolate goes back 2,500 years. Aztecs loved their newly discovered liquid chocolate to the extent that they believed Quetzalcoatl, the god of wisdom, literally bestowed it upon them.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Some Chocolate Tid – Bits..<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Chocolate is a fermented food. Once the cacao pods are picked, cleaned of pithy white material from the fruit and dried, the cacao beans are fermented.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

White chocolate isn\u2019t chocolate because it contains no cocoa solids.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

More than three-in-four surveyed have chocolate at least once a week<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Nearly two-thirds of respondents pick milk chocolate over dark or white.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Four-in-ten people surveyed pick Hershey’s as their go-to brand.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

90 million \u2014 the number of chocolate Easter bunnies manufactured every year.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

36 million \u2014 the number of heart-shaped chocolate boxes sold every Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

22 pounds \u2014 the amount of chocolate that would need to be eaten to kill a person.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

STONES and then?? NO STONES..<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This recent September the 16th, we showed our neighbor’s daughter’s prized collection of stones.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then just the other day, they were gone! No warning! No advanced notice! Nothing!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Our neighbor’s daughter was distraught! Upset! Sad! <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Luckily, just in the “nick of time”, they found the landscaping crew’s truck up the street and carefully “went through” a vast collection of leaves, grass clippings, etc and found about 75% of the missing stones!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

We are sad on their behalf!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
