The first gingerbread houses were the result of the well-known Grimm\u2019s fairy tale \u201cHansel and Gretel.\u201d After this story was published, German bakers began baking ornamented fairy-tale houses made from gingerbread<\/p>\n<p>Gingerbread dough is surprisingly easy to make. You need ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves and molasses .
