World Laughter Day is an event celebrated every year around the world to raise awareness about laughter and its many positive effects on health, as well as about thousands of communities worldwide who practice comedy regularly to enhance wellness and general well-being.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Laugh Day is a chance to have a chuckle with the ones you love.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Laugh Day, reminds us to keep things light and pep things up with a little humor. If you have been in the doldrums for a while, or haven\u2019t been feeling too good, then you need to laugh the worries away and take it easy. As I scanned today’s March 19th NATIONAL TODAY Holidays, I missed the below Holiday.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“Our” Patti noticed it and she suggested we include it BECAUSE Patti (and has for years and years!) enjoys me reading to her and I ENJOY reading to Patti.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

International Read To Me Day, celebrated every March 19 across the world.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

As we closely investigated this Holiday, we found that it IS focused on reading to children, and Patti agrees with the importance of reading to children.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

But our premise (a foundational statement, assumption, or proposition) remains. Patti likes me to read to her and I so enjoy it so we decided to publish the Holiday here.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The importance of reading books to children is great. Whether it\u2019s for 10 minutes a day, or an hour, reading to children really helps in developing their imagination, their knowledge, and their ability to read even before they begin attend school. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Patti used to read to her younger Brother well before he began school. As a teacher of kindergarten\/1st grade\/2nd grade, she also read to the children every day.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This activity is essential since several countries across the world have a low literacy rate. Children in these nations are also taught to read at a later stage in life, hence, their interest in education is affected. If you want to live in an educated world, spread the message and start reading to your children every day.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Just think. Maybe. Just maybe, one of you reading this may have a a young mother friend with young children and you could encourage her to read to her children.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Oh Yes! Oh Yes Indeed! My Mother read a lot to me and I just loved it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
