National Nico Day takes place on April 7 each year.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The name Nico is mostly of Dutch, German, Italian, and Portuguese origin. It is typically a short form for Nicholas, Nicolas, Nicola, Nicole, or its Italian versions like Domenico and Nicodemus. This name grew in popularity through Saint Nicholas, the inspiration behind our now popular Santa Claus tradition. <\/em><\/p>\n

Because of the above, if you\u2019re of Dutch, Italian, German, Portuguese, or Spanish descent, you may know at least one Nico or have run into one more than once because these areas are where the name originated.\u00a0 <\/em>Yes Oh Yes. Patti has a friend Sibella (who goes by Sib). Sib was maybe 7 years old when Patti first knew her. As she grew up, Patti used to go to Sib’s Soccer Games. Let’s jump ahead 30 or more years. Sib had a son she named Nicolas but calls him Nico. I met Nico maybe ten or so years ago. Nico was absolutely fascinated by me having been in the United States Marine Corps. Well !! Nico grew up and he became a United States Marine himself.\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Base units in the metric system include kilograms, meters, and liters. The metric system also uses the Kelvin scale (or the Celsius scale) to measure the temperature. The decimal-based prefixes in the metric system include milli, centi, deci, and kilo. However, these prefixes are not used with the temperature degree.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
