Who in this World is going to be interested in the above topics, Dyslexia and Depression ??<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

So? Do I “Pack it in.” and head for bed ??<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The problem is simple: Both are NATIONAL TODAY Holidays and ??<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I, your Captain, live with both of them !!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I am not ready to “Quit on myself !!”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Then!! I totally “Lost It” and accidently published what I had written !!<\/span><\/p>\n

Cap here !!<\/em> <\/span>When I was in the 4th or 5th grade in Elementary School, due to learning difficulties in school, I was about to be “set back” one full grade. Instead (and I have no idea how it came to happen) I was diagnosed (this was year 1945 or so) with Dyslexia. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I then worked intensely, one-on-one, with a wonderful remedial teacher, Cally Gartrell. I hope that to the day I die, I will never forget Ms. Gartrell.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

..Difficulty reading aloud, especially unfamiliar words<\/em><\/span>
\n..Slow and inaccurate reading speed<\/em><\/span>
\n..Poor spelling and grammar<\/em><\/span>
\n..Confusion with letters and sounds<\/em><\/span>
\n..Difficulty with rhyming and word retrieval<\/em><\/span>
\n..Problems with attention and organization<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Patti would say: “Cap does NOT seem to have any of the above symptoms!”<\/span><\/p>\n
