SEP 28, 16 .. I AM IN SEATTLE WASHINGTON

Wowie! Just how lucky can one man be? I got-myself-together, one-more-time, and I actually successfully-boarded another airliner and here I am, safe and sound in Seattle Washington. I aimed to leave our condo at 2PM yesterday Tuesday the 27th in plenty of time to catch my 4:30PM departure. It is about a 20 to 25-minute drive to the airport from our condo.

At 1PM, with one-hour-to-go, Patti told me en route to the airport that she thought to herself (as she surveyed my things still spread-out all over our condo) the following:

“I know Cap will pull-this-off BUT, in my heart-of-hearts, I can’t see how he can possibly do so.”

In a way Patti was right-on. We left our condo about 2:09PM just a smidgen late.

As I was waiting in the departure lounge and all the way until I got to my seat,

I PROMISED MYSELF the following:

Just this one time,

On this one airline flight South to Seattle,

I will NOT NOT NOT, 

Snap so much as one photo of the clouds or the airplane.

Just this ONE TIME.

To ensure compliance with this self-promise,

I put my camera into my carry-on suitcase stashed away overhead.

What a day. Brilliant sun. As we taxied out to take-off I really wanted to snap some photos.

I did not. How could I? My camera was out-of-sight and stowed-away.

Then,

l. Nature called. I had to get up and ‘go’. 2. My camera was calling to me from overhead in the storage bin, “Oh come on Dad! What on earth will a few photos hurt?” 3. A small child in India was saying, “Baba this is the first time I have ever seen your website and I have never been in an airplane.”

“Just a few photos. Captain? What harm will they possibly do?” And some of you think that YOU have problems with YOUR minds!

“Pardon me small child in India?” .. “What is in the bottom of the photos?” .. “I was sitting over the wing of the airplane. You see part of the wing and part of the right engine.”

Nightfall as we headed South for Seattle.

And what have we here? Dubai UAE where I will fly to this Friday the 30th. Wowie!

The people here in Seattle love their Seattle Seahawks NFL football team.

The flight was absolutely as-good-as-it-can-get. We were on-time, a tad early. I had two wonderful senior-citizens from Boston as seat-mates.

Seattle Greg was on-time and also actually a tad-early to meet me in the baggage area.
