NOV 11, 18 .. MOVING DAY .. THE SECOND MOVING DAY
Sunday, November the 11th.
Let’s begin here with a little giggle.
Inside of my living areas, I like my climate to be ‘comfortably cool’. 60°F is pretty much just right. I can slip on a sweater or sweatshirt or down cabin sweater. Patti, on the other hand, finds my 60°F to be uncomfortable.
Last night was my first night to sleep here in my new apartment.
So I ‘wiggled down’ on my sofa.
“Dad!” ..
“Yes Mister Sofa?” ..
“Dad! You can configure me into a real bed Dad!”
“I know I can Mister Sofa. I just prefer to stretch out on you in your sofa configuration.”
I pulled up a lightweight down comforter that I always carry with me, and went-to-sleep. The fatigue that I was feeling after the events of yesterday and Friday was almost overwhelming.
Last night, during the night, from time-to-time, I sensed that I was feeling just a tad uncomfortably-cool! Not to worry, I just tried to ‘wiggle down’ a tad deeper into Mister Sofa.
I got up yesterday morning and found that it really was uncomfortably cool and this is rare for me, one who loves being comfortably cool.
Well! What to my wondering should I find?
Two.
Not one, but two of my three windows were open.
I closed them. Then I got on with my day. By early afternoon the heat had caught up with, and overtaken, the cool.
Tonight I can already tell that I will sleep very warm. Comfortably warm in fact. Toasty warm.

Help me out here with cooking, with hard boiling eggs.
‘Zilla taught me what a three-minute egg was and I’ve pretty much mastered that.
What I am trying to do is this :
Boil eggs in such a manner that they do not crack / open up and make a mess.
Get With Me Now 99631!
I tried this : Warming them up super slow. Putting them into cool water. And taking about 30-minutes to gradually bring the water to an easy (not a full rolling) boil. Then immediately cutting back on the heat while still letting the water boil.
Better? Yes! But not 100%. Better. One only cracked but did not explode into the water.
Any thoughts on this issue 99631?

Today was, all-in-all, pretty busy, hectic, yes stressful to a point that I don’t prefer but realize that what-must-be-done..
MUST BE DONE.
Last night..
Mike .. My Translator and Go-To-Man ..
And ЭДА, our sweet young ЭДА ..
Yes ЭДА, our one handed driver ..
The two of them, one age 68-years and one age 24-years, in the dark of a Siberian night, helped me move about 85% of my belongings from my former apartment, here to my new apartment.
WHAT MUST BE DONE?
Complete the move. I mean complete it 100%. I moved in on Monday the 29th of October. I’m determined to be out today on Sunday the 11th of November. A nice even 14-day, two week, stay.
I got the job done. It was a push. I did NOT feel like doing what-must-be-done but I did it. That final 20% of any task, that end-of-the-game, seems to take 80% of the time and effort. See how long and how intense the final 2-minutes of an NFL game can be.
Man Oh Manischewitz! Now I can really settle in for the next three months.
To be brutally honest, I could not really settle into my former apartment KNOWING that Patti and I just were not going to be able to sleep comfortably on the ‘couch bed’ there.
It was OK, but still a tad marginal, even for me alone.
Then after I had completed my 100% cleanup and moving out of my former apartment, the owner of my new apartment came over and Mike (working on my behalf) and I wrapped up the deal. I am now, paid-in-full with cash, good until February the 8th, 2019. I have up until two weeks prior to February the 8th to extend my short-term-lease.
Then Mike and I got-down-to-business and did a lot more English into Russian translation work for use in my talks.
All-in-All .. I am exhausted and can’t wait to lie down and to call-it-a-succssful-day.
Tiring? Yes. Successful? Absolutely!
Over and out and onto my couch and into sweet dreamland.
I told Mike, tomorrow, Monday the 12th, NO talks. I need a full day-off.
Over and out.

Very happy for you that the MOVE is completed. MOVING at any time, in any situation, is a PUSH at best. Now, rest up. I am glad that you had help with the bulk of it, very glad!!. But, I know pulling the loose ends together takes time and effort as well. Love and hugs. Patti
Thank You My Dear One. In three words : I am bushed. Need to really re-group and rest up. Center. I had NOT planned to move. It was sudden and, as it turned out, a good idea but still a real chore and a half. Smiles and Love .. Cap
Here’s a link for your hard boiled eggs. Note that it includes a selection of times for how you want your eggs.
https://www.deliciousmeetshealthy.com/how-to-make-perfect-hard-boiled-eggs/
This is how I do it: put eggs in cold water to cover. Place the handy little egg-shaped timer in with the eggs. Heat to slow boil until the handy little egg-shaped timer center turns black. Eggs are hard boiled then. Drain and immediately cover with very cold water.
Eggs with green-gray lining around the yolks are over-cooked.
Will look at the link. Thanks so much. Smiling .. Cap
I have looked at the link. Except for ICE COLD WATER this is how I have been boiling my eggs. Cold water to begin with. Boil for 6 to 9 minutes. Put them in cold (I don’t have ice) water.
What slays me is when they crack open when boiling.
Thanks and Smiles .. Cap
