DEC 29, 18 .. WE’RE ABOUT TO SAY GOODBYE TO ABAKAN, RUSSIAN SIBERIA

Tomorrow, Sunday December the 30th, Mike and I catch a night train for Krasnoyarsk.

We leave at 7pm and arrive Monday morning at 6:40am. So we leave in the dark and arrive in the dark.

By the way I published a fun post over on blogspot :

I had a great day. I went for a long walk and did several major photo shoots of attractions near us.

I am not yet, in any way whatsoever, getting tired or bored with these ice sculptures.

This cafe was a life-saver for my right hand. I sat here for maybe an hour warming up thoroughly before undertaking my final photo-shoot of the day.

Smiles from Patti and me (Cap)

They are absolutely beyond-the-beyond. The cold here is so much more consistent than in Fairbanks and this cold sure helps the ice sculptors for sure. I am just amazed at all of these ice sculptures. They are all over at least this part of Siberia. Smiles ..

The ice sculptures continue to delight me. I was surprised to see the word L O V E spelled out in English in the one ice sculpture. Contrary to Fairbanks where the sculptures are pretty much confined to one spot, the ones you are showing us seem to be everywhere. So glad you had a cafe to warm up your photo fingers! Hugs. Patti
