SEP 28, 19 .. MY NEW SAMSUNG GALAXY A10 SMART PHONE .. WORDS OF WISDOM

HE WHO HESITATES IS LOST.

I had, more or less, pretty much decided to ‘throw in the towel’ and return my new smart phone knowing I was giving it away for free (there are no such things as returns over here) but could still use my SIM card in my 2014 vintage Nokia cell phone.

Then I hesitated. I used WhatsApp to contact Grant and Nicky.

Then I hesitated some more  and I went out to my local park. I plopped down upon a bench in the midst of dozens of Mongolian adults and children and tested out A10’s ability to be used as a Mobile Hotspot.

Quote the internet : A hotspot will allow you to turn on the portable WiFi hotspot on your android smartphone with a touch. It is easy to use, it’s totally free and you can create your personal hotspot.

And A10 worked to a perfect T. I can now travel with A10 and use him as a Mobile Hotspot.

OUR FIRST THINKING IS OUR BEST THINKING.

And my first thinking was to get a Smart Phone so that I could use my laptop here in my apartment and elsewhere. Turns out I already had Wi-Fi in my apartment BUT would not have been able to successfully travel with it.

Enter our good friend Gullible who reminded me of Google Translate. That did it. I can now, using Google Translate that Beck downloaded into  my Samsung A10, use it to converse with people who do not speak English.

While in the park, some young adults came up to me. I pulled out Samsung Galaxy A10 and had a little chit-chat with them using Google Translate. Let me tell all of you, these young Mongolian adults were fascinated with yours truly.

So keeping A10 became an instant no-brainer.

FROM GORD IN MICHIGAN :

“I’m still a flip phone user and impressed with your new Samsung Galaxy A10. Yesterday I visited my Sprint store and was introduced to the A10 and brother A50, but haven’t made the move or purchase yet. I’m afraid I’ll be in the same predicament you are with a new baby in the family. I’ll be following your progress on learning more about A10. My kids continue to bug me, to get a new phone, but until you did, I hadn’t had an interest. I’ll be watching, best wishes.”

Your kids, the ENTIRE WORLD IS CORRECT Gord.

Move on.

Embrace : Change.

Oh Sigh.

Smiling ..

By The Way. My Samsung Galaxy A10 came with the following disclaimer:

This model is for use in : Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistjan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Mongolia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Kazakhstan. This product should be activated with a SIM card issued from a mobile operator within the above 13 countries. If a SIM card issued from another region is used for activation, the phone may not work. In this case, the device will need to be released at the nearest Samsung service center.

This explains why my two Nokia phones would not work in the U.S. I tried to have a GCI (an Alaskan telecommunications firm) SIM card put into them and they would not function. You can ‘read’ all sorts of things (some dark) into this.

Just the Translate, WhatsApp, and WiFi hot spot features alone seem to make this new phone well worth it for you. Fun to picture the people around you in the park “talking” with you via the translate feature! Nice that I can picture the park and the happiness heard there in my own minds’ eye! Happy more learning!! Smiles and love, Patti

You are correct. At this juncture keeping it is certainly a no-brainer. Fun you heard all the happiness at the playground over the phone as we were visiting while I was using the A10’s mobile hotspot feature. Soon there will be an ice skating rink there. Much Love .. Cap
