MAY 4, 23 .. MAY IS SPRING YET .. STILL A LITTLE MORE SNOW HERE

Wednesday morning dawned with it snowing outside. I did a weather check..

Then I looked outside and? Voila! It really was snowing.

Above yesterday May 2nd. Below today May 3rd at 8:30am.

Looking out across our front yard today, May the 3rd.

This morning, I believed that all of the morning snow would soon melt. That did not happen. Yes some of it did melt BUT this afternoon it snowed again. 

Are we imagining this new afternoon snow? Not according to our local weather channel at 5:01pm (19:01 hours).

The below 5pm photo shows MORE snow than the above 8:30am photo (three images above).

That completes our local weather report for Wednesday the 3rd of May. In her 60 years here in Alaska, snow today set a record for Patti. On May the 2nd 1963 (yes .. nineteen sixty three) Patti saw snow during her first days here in Alaska. So today, May 3rd is now the latest in May that Patti has seen snow here.

I adopted an orphan today. It was a spur of the moment decision.

What was I thinking? How am I going to get her home? Think of all the arrangements I’d have to make.
