AUG 27, 17 .. PART 1 .. THE HONG KONG STORM WARNING FLAGS ARE RAISED.. THEY ARE NOW AT T-3..

0230 Hours, 2:30am, Sunday morning, the 27th of August 2017.

The rain has begun.

As I sit at the keyboard here in the YMCA on Salisbury Road, in Tsim Sha Tsui, in Kowloon, across Victoria Harbor from Hong Kong Island, Tropical Cyclone Pakhar is approaching Hong Kong. It has not yet been classified as a Typhoon.

Last Wednesday, the 23rd of August 2017, Typhoon Hato, one of the worst storms in history, slammed into Hong Kong.

What has all of this got to do with yours truly? Last Wednesday the Hong Kong International Airport, the metro subway (MTR) system, buses, the Star Ferry, etc et al were closed. People were ‘ordered’ DO NOT GO OUT. Do not go to work. Stay home. Stay indoors.

This upcoming Tuesday the 29th, I am scheduled to fly from Hong Kong to Seattle, meet Patti, and then the two of us will fly to Minneapolis St. Paul. Our ultimate destination is the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, where I will find out about the possible tumor in my left kidney.

IF we have a major storm, who knows if the airport will be open.

So?

There you have it from Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region, China.

THE REST OF THE STORY..

I am feeling strong. I have been socializing with friends here in Hong Kong and going to meetings. I can not believe that, with me feeling this good, the possible tumor in my left kidney is malignant. By this time next week, Patti and I, along with the good doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, will have determined what is going on with me.

Today I am planning to sit tight here at the YMCA. I am not now planning to go out to any meetings nor do I plan to witness (Pay per View) the big fight, Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor, due to be shown at 9am this morning.

There you have it. 0319 Hours, 3:19am, Sunday morning the 27th of August from Hong Kong.

As the Hong Kong hours tick away, I can only hope the new storm will “blow over” and your flight out of there will not be cancelled or delayed. Hope. Hope. Hope. Love, Patti
