OCT 10, 17 .. BACK HOME TO ROYAL OAK .. OUR TRIP IS OVER
Last night we arrived in Windsor (bottom left red balloon ), Ontario, Canada, after a nice drive from London.
Today, after visiting with friends here in Windsor, we will cross the International Border and return to our home in Royal Oak, Michigan (upper left red balloon ).
Other than getting totally lost yesterday en route from London to Jack Miner’s Bird Sanctuary (left-most red balloon ) near Kingsville, Ontario (don’t ask us how that happened but it certainly happened) we had a great trip.
What happened is that we mistakenly exited from Hwy 401 (right red balloon ) about sixty miles too soon.
The below map shows how we should have traveled. A straight shot from London to our turn South off Hwy 401 and down to Jack Miner’s (lower red balloon ).
It cost us some time, no big deal, and we saw some spectacular scenery.
And?
And?
The Canada Geese patiently waited for us to arrive.
