Life goes on here. Right now Patti and I are tending to a small (her dermotoligist calls it a) wound where a rather large mole was removed July 1st. I was on my way to Walmart to purchase some Neosporin for this wound when suddenly it hit me, we have no business treating a wound that appeared to us to be infected. I called Patti and asked her to call her doctor. She did and we were told do not touch it further and come into our office first thing tomorrow morning.
We did as directed and what we had been doing (treating it with hydrogen peroxide) was wrong. We are now armed with an antibiotic prescription ointment and instructions as to its care for 2 to 3 weeks.
