MAY 1, 15 .. CAP AND PATTI .. ENJOYING HONG KONG .. PART 8 OF 10

FRIDAY .. MAY 1, 2015 ..

Oh it’s a long long way .. From May to December .. But the days grow short .. When you reach September .. The September Song .. A Pensive and a melancholy song and melody.  I was born in September.

Patti is leaving tomorrow. TOMORROW! NOT next week .. not next month ..

So the melancholy of MY September song fits right in with my mood as I sit here at the keys of Computer Number 21 here in the Hong Kong Central Library Computer Room on the 6th Floor.

I have said quite often .. The truth be told I was saying this BEFORE I even left the United States on this trip! .. that I may not be returning back to the United States.

It is just ‘a feeling’ .. and like all feelings .. it may be accurate or it may be bogus .. But it is what it is! I feel God has placed me here to do some special work and that I am indeed doing some work for Our Maker. IF and when it is time for me to return .. IF such time arrives for me to return .. then it will be made clear to me. India looms immediately ahead for me as does a possible calling for me to travel to Mongolia in July.

So as Patti’s time here now is about over .. I am feeling the strains of The September Song .. and I want to wring-out of our last few days here together all that we are able to do.

Our To-DO-List is now 100% finished! The two of us GOT IT ALL! We are now in the stage of revisiting places that we have most enjoyed and repeating the doing of things that we have most enjoyed.

At this writing we do not plan to do anything new tomorrow. But we have a very full tomorrow planned.

We do have one activity that I have not shown photos to you yet of .. One activity that we have actually spent considerable time together doing .. This is our time spent here at the Hong Kong Central Library Computer Room.

The library here at Hong Kong Central is just PHENOMENAL!

The staff here at the Hong Kong Central Library are beyond the beyond. They treat Patti and myself as if we were special dignitaries.

Riding the Hong Kong MTR and the buses and the Star Ferries are repeat activities .. ones we just love doing and continue to do.

Lets begin with a few MTR memories ..

DSCN0002[1]

The Hong Kong MTR is an everyday activity. One we enjoy. As you can see above and below .. the MTR is not always a madhouse crowd.  Sometimes you actually have some space to move around in! Can you all see the vacant places in the above and below crowds?

DSCN0022[1]

The buses are also a lot of fun for us to hop onto and just take-a-ride. We never tire of our bus rides!

DSCN0013[1]

We never tire of seeing Hong Kong ‘as she is’ ..

DSCN0361[1]

The Hong Kong buses are AIR CONDITINED AND CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE AND A JOY!

DSCN0363[1]

The Hong Kong Trams are also a lot of fun to joy-ride.

DSCN1298[1]

NOTHING TOPS RIDING OUR BELOVED STAR FERRIES!

Yes! Some things can and do equal them .. but nothing tops them!

DSCN0029[1]

DSCN0043[1]

We love the views of Victoria Harbor and its skyline as seen from the Star Ferries.

Patti LOVES the wind in her hair as we ride the Star Ferries!

DSCN0044[1]

Can all of you find Patti below?

“What’s that ‘Zilla? You want a little hint?” .. “Patti is the one in green waiving at you all.”

DSCN0366[1]

“OK ‘Zilla .. You are on your own in the photo below.” .. “No ‘Zilla .. The young man on the left in the green shirt is NOT Patti.”

DSCN0364[1]

“WHAT ‘Zilla?” .. “You can’t find your reading glasses?” .. “You want an EASY-for-you-to-see-Patti-on-the-Star-Ferry Photo?” .. “OK my friend .. Whatever ‘Zilla wants ‘Zilla gets.” .. “How is the below photo of Patti on the Star Ferry?”

Seems to me you already have been doing some good work, in re Simon. Mongolia!!! Yes, by all means, but before you stop traveling, you would find the people of Tibet much to your liking. That is the one place , I’ve been where people smile from their souls. All too soon the Tibetan culture will be homogenized and then disappear. Experience it before that happens. I recommend high altitude meds.

Back in 2012 I crossed the highest road pass in the world .. over 18,300 feet in the North of India. Yes indeed! I took high altitude meds. They recommend them five days before and five days after the high altitude experience. You can NOT risk high altitude problems while on a bus that will not stop no matter what with drivers who are mean spirited. Before I stop travelling? I have no plans to stop! Smiles .. Cap ..
