MAY 29, 15 .. YES! .. THE HEAT HAS RETURNED ..
Assumptions are so dangerous. Most of us know what the word ASSUME means when broken down into three parts. So as not to confuse some child here in India who may be practicing their English .. I shall go no further with the word assume.
I sit here on my eleventh (11th) trip to India spanning twenty four (24) years and counting .. October 31st, 1990 to the present day .. and I have been in the extreme North of India up in Ladakh. So I KNOW perhaps just maybe a tad more than most of you know about India and this part of the world and how some of the pieces fit together over here.
Do you see in the map below a balloon. Do you all KNOW what the balloon points to? Notice off the the left of the balloon the city of New Delhi. See it there to the left of the word Nepal in the map below?

Do all of you see it? The balloon in the map above points to MT. EVEREST!
Below the balloon on the right is Mt. Everest and the balloon on the left shows you that New Delhi is not all that far from Mt. Everest. So yesterday when I wrote that it felt like we got a BLAST OF COLD ARCTIC AIR and the temperature felt like it had plummeted downward .. I was thinking that perhaps a West wind had carried us some cool air from the Himalaya Mountains!

So .. long story short .. we are back experiencing what feels to me like blast furnace heat ! I did hear yesterday afternoon that recently (a day or so ago) a lady DROPPED DEAD at the Taj Mahal and her death was attributed to the HEAT!
Since I am sharing some geography with all of you .. in the below map you can see where Kathmandu .. which experienced a horrendous earthquake several weeks ago .. is relative to Mt. Everest. The after shocks continue. So the massive geologic force that created the Himalaya Mountains continues to do its work.

Here in my HOTEL PAWAN .. Patti noticed it is written that way and it is not written as the Pawan Hotel as I think of it ..
I have a favorite area at the back of the hotel where I like to sit and chat on my cell phone with Patti. In this area I get 5-bars excellent cell phone reception so this is why I have settled on this as my cell phone calling location here.
This morning I walked back to MY AREA to chat with Patti and what to my wondering eyes appeared .. OH MY goodness! I had been invaded by a Cricket Team.
So .. OUT CAME MY CAMERA AND I SNAPPED AWAY!
Since I was on my cell phone as I was snapping these photos .. I said to them .. “Say Hello to Patti in Alaska!” .. And they all did with a nice Hello Patti!

I later visited with several of them. Very nice young men indeed!
And suddenly the HOTEL PAWAN “BRASS” .. Mr. Kumar and his close business associate Mr. Mussrat Hussain appeared and I grabbed them for a pose and a few photos. Such joy!
I went back to my prior Post about the HOTEL PAWAN and included the above photos into that Post.
