SEP 4, 15 .. A 94-SQUARE-FOOT STUDIO APARTMENT CAN BE A CHALLENGE ..
Before I left my studio apartment to come here to the Hong Kong City Hall Library I was having this super-intense dream. I was dreaming that I was surrounded by Asians. Every where I looked were Asians. In my dream I was shoulder-to-shoulder with Asians on a Hong Kong Tram.
Then suddenly one-of-them moved to get off the tram and pushed-into-me!!
I asked .. “Where am I?” .. one of them said .. “You are on a tram in Hong Kong Central.”
It was so real I could not believe it. Funny huh?
The below scenes were NOT A DREAM ..
A 94-SQUARE-FOOT STUDIO APARTMENT CAN BE A CHALLENGE!!
Where do I put my things when I am washing clothes and trying to get organized.
Pan to the right in the above photo and see my bed .. My black with white-trim jogging trousers are drying ..
In the bathroom my jacket is still dripping wet ..
After the above jacket stopped dripping I hung it outside of the bathroom to dry and then I washed my dress shirt ..
Below my dress shirt is hanging in the entrance way into my studio apartment. It is almost dry ..
Pan down from the above photo ..
Keep panning-down and you will see the suitcase that I am working on to begin to get ready to go back North to Ulaanbaatar Mongolia next Tuesay ..
If we were to have a fire-drill or an actual emergency I would be challenged to be able to get out of my door ..
Above my music was cheerily blasting away to keep me company ..
Oh My Goodness! .. It is past midnight! .. I am dead-tired! .. What To Do? ..
Patti has actually seen .. Patti has actually witnessed .. what happens to the above scene when I ‘snap-my-fingers’ and tell the clutter that it is time for me to get-into-the-bed !!
“What about us Dad?” .. /SIGNED/ .. THE MESS IN THE ENTRYWAY ..
“Look entryway mess .. IF we have some kind of a disaster I just may need to be able to get out of here quickly.”
In the center of the below photo .. right on the very bottom .. you can sneak a peek at the black suitcase just down from my little hacksaw that jumped under-the-bed to get out of the entryway ..
Hong Kong .. Wednesday .. September the 2nd ..
And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda .. In the rain last Wednesday ..
Hong Kong Today .. Friday .. September the 4th ..
No band today. I can still ‘see them down there’ in my minds-eye ..
I am NOT dreaming the above magnificent day here in Hong Kong ..
Nor am I dreaming this :
Tomorrow .. September the 5th .. I begin my EIGHTIETH YEAR OF LIFE .. which is to say .. I will celebrate my 79th Birthday ..
Now That Is Something For Me To Ponder ..
Pondering .. Cap ..
- SEP 2, 15 .. RAIN IN HONG KONG ..
- SEP 5, 15 .. MY 79th YEAR .. A REVIEW IN PHOTOGRAPHS ..
Suffice to say, I have seen your THINGS have an amazing ability to s t r e t c h out, multiply, flail about, clutter, and TAKE OVER. And, having lived in the flat with you last spring, I know the only surface you have upon which to “organize” your things IS the bed. I also know you have an absolutely uncanny way of corralling everything and making them behave!
What a beautiful day September 4th is in Hong Kong compared to September 2nd. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW SEPTEMBER 5TH!!!!! Love, Patti
To be pushing-eighty is sobering. Thanks for the happy birthday wishes My Dear One. I am still in awe at how well we two did in the studio apartment you and I together in there. Amazing. Much Joy and Much Love .. Cap ..
Happy Birthday!!!
