DEC 21, 17 .. THE SOLSTICE .. A BRIGHT RAY OF SUNSHINE .. A VISIT FROM GULLLIBLE

Happiness is : A visit from a best of friends.

Last Friday the 15th of December, it was late afternoon, Patti and I were relaxing here in our condo when our door bell rang. When we answered who but Gullible appeared.

And will you just look at what she brought to us!

A three volume set of books outlining her trip to India in January 2015. In the forward to volume 1 she thanked yours truly for giving her the impetus to travel to India.

Below are photos of the three volumes she presented to us.

Each magnificent volume is enormous!

Volume 1 contains 232 pages.

Volume 2 contains 211 pages.

Volume 3 contains 256 pages.

I am not able to fully grasp the time and the effort Gullible went to in order to make this set of 3 volumes come-to-life.

Amazing. Absolutely postitively amazing.

We enjoyed such a great visit. I had not see her since we three traveled in Hong Kong and Mongolia back in the autumn of 2015.

After our trip to Mongolia, Gullible produced a set of two enormous volumes detailing our Mongolia visit.

The Mongolia Volumes have 210 and 228 pages respectively.

Thank You So Very Much Gullible.

We treasure your friendship and honor the time and the effort it took for you to produce these amazing books.

There is no doubt that I am in the midst of a depressive episode. To deny this fact would be stupid. To accept it and just work through it is the tried-and-true answer for me personally.

I AM  functional and functioning, just ask Patti. In fact it has come as a surprise to Patti for me to bring this fact to light. She did not read my Post of last December the 13th. I would much prefer for the two-of-us to be wintering in Hong Kong with a small flat and heading up to Mongolia in March or April and then to Irkutsk in Russian Siberia soon thereafter.

So why aren’t we there right now.

Medical appointments with the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix in mid-February 2018. I will be having a one year review of my left hip replacement; a six month review of my left kidney; a one year review (bone density scan) to determine the progress of dealing with my male osteoporosis.

Then we hope to head for Hong Kong and Mongolia and Russian Siberia.

God Willing that is.

From the trenches of life and winter in Alaska.

Cap and Patti

You are very welcome, my friend. Yes, it does take a lot of effort to produce those books. First, the writing of the stories, the processing of the photos, then formatting each page, then printing, and finally, having them bound at Office Max. But, they are better than any old photo album, aren’t they.

As to your depression, I have one of those “sunshine” lights for SAD that you can borrow, if you think it will help. (Such an appropriate acronym for Seasonal Affective Disorder huh?)

We are happy that you admit it takes a ‘lot of effort’ to produce your amazing books. Based on what little I do online I well know what each involve. No wonder you were using two computers at times.

Thanks for the SAD light offer. I will pass on them. Who originates such acronyms? SAD. Again thanks. Cap and Patti

Wow! What a gift! I have enjoyed Jeanne’s blog. Her photography is amazing, and her storytelling is fantastic, so I am sure these books will be pure joy on winter days ahead.
I received your Christmas card today. Thank you! I am thinking of you both, and you remain in my prayers. Prayers of strength, hope and may you do your very best getting through each moment.
    Merry Christmas Cap and Patti.
    Fondly,
    Kit

Kitty, Patti and I tried and we tired and then we tried some more to find your typos. We simply could not find them. Smiling. We got-your-back Kitty. Cap and Patti.

Thanks so much Kit for checking out Gullible’s phenomenal website. That alone IS quite a gift isn’t it? Thanks also for some prayers along the way. Smiles, Patti and Cap

Hi Cap and Patti! Those books (manuals, brochures, etc) assembled by Gullible are just great! Great memories for you both since you all have travelled the world separately and together, and considering all your travels around the world!! Just super nifty!!
Regarding your depression I know you have bouts of it once in awhile and you seem to know what to do to get out of the “funk”! My two cents, get out and take a drive to the “Double Musky” and have a great meal in your favorite window seats! I find just “moving” going for a drive is very helpful!
Have a great Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Travel to Asia is just around the corner!!!

So good to see you here again ‘Zilla. Sorry for being a day late and a dollar short replying to your comment. Great idea. A run down to Girdwood and a small feast at the Double Musky.

You are oh-so-correct. Just ‘getting out and moving around’ sure does help and so far, knock on wood, I am able to do just that.

Going back across the Pacific sounds like a long way into the future. But! A snap of the fingers and the time will be upon us. Well I hope it is the two of us. Thanks so much for your interest My Good Man ‘Zilla. Cap
