NOV 28, 18 .. THE END OF MY FIRST MONTH HERE IN IRKUTSK

I wonder when .. I wonder IF .. The day will ever come when I am able to stop switching out of a window that I am working in without first opening a new window.

To wit : I will be on-line on my website .. dot.net or blogspot .. I will then need to go get some information (say on Wikipedia) elsewhere. The correct way to do this is, first open up a new window .. Then .. In the new window go searching.

When I fail to do this correctly .. I just immediately close the window (for instance in the middle of a Post on dot.net or blogspot). Then I risk losing some information. In any event, I then have to go back to square one and re-enter the website that I mistakenly closed.

Gullible .. Do you ever do the above?

Wednesday the 28th of November 2018.

HAPPINESS IS :

I’ve now lived here in Irkutsk for one-full-month.

Well actually at around 8am tomorrow completes it. I arrived into Irkutsk around 8am on Monday the 29th of October.

Today I took a walk up to The Irkutsk Circus.

I have just published a Post on blogspot covering my walk there along with some photos of The Circus, a building in which events, including a circus, are held.

Below is a link to that Post :

HAPPINESS IS :

In the next two photos below, on the floor at the bottom of the right end of the wooden piece of furniture, do you all see ‘something white’ there on the floor? Just a bothersome-to-me white thing that my eyes constantly keep going to.

Do you all see it?

I know what it is and what its purpose is. It is a small ‘shim’ stuck there to keep the furniture piece from rocking unsteadily.

Today I finally decided to do something about it. I looked and I looked for a wide, black, felt-tip marker to ‘color it black’.

No deal. No where could I find a wide, black, felt-tip marker.

Suddenly it hit me. Get a small bottle of black nail polish and just ‘paint it black’.

And I did. You can still see it BUT it no longer jumps into my field of vision.

So here’s the fun. I told Patti, over the phone :

“Today I got some black lipstick to cover the white thing up with.”

There was a pause. Patti then said, “Won’t lipstick rub off?”

We both a laughed over my mis-statement. So Patti, above is a photo of the nail polish.

HAPPINESS IS :

Being able to buy a small box of real laundry detergent here in Irkutsk, Russian Siberia.

As Bugs Bunny used to say at the end of a cartoon :

That’s All Folks.

Ever Smiling .. Cap

CONGRATS on being a happy resident of Irkutsk for one full month .. and it HAS been full!! Yup, I don’t think black ‘lipstick’ would have saved the day for you on that white distraction. Smiles and love, Patti

There is absolutely NO WAY that black lipstick would have done the job that the black finger nail polish did. It was just a mental slip to even mention the word lipstick when it never was an option or even a thought. One month ‘and counting’. Whew! The time has flown. Much Love .. Cap

Yes, Cap, I’ve accidentally closed a window. But, usually Blogspot frequently saves my work so I don’t have to start all over. I just go to the list of posts and click on edit for the one I want. Most of the time it’s all there.

The issue here is this : KNOWING what not-to-do, I keep doing it. YES OH YES blogspot does a great job of constantly saving work. My dot.net site does not do an automatic save nearly as often as does blogspot. I just get bored with having to go back to square one, signing in again when I know what not-to-do. Smiles .. Cap
