JAN 17, 19 .. WE HAVE TICKETS TO TRAVEL TO MARIINSK / МАРИИНСК THIS SUNDAY THE 20th.

Before I go one step further here, I keep forgetting to give you who may be interested, a website that discusses the Trans Siberian Railway.

The above site just captivated me. I couldn’t stop reading it.

Speaking of the Trans Siberian Railway! This upcoming Sunday, the 20th of January, Mike and I are leaving Novosibirsk by train and heading East to MARIINSK / МАРИИHСК.

Above is a photo of the Trans Siberian Railway station in MARIINSK / МАРИИHСК and a map below.

It will be just under a 6 hour train trip. Mike and I will leave Novosibirsk at 12:42pm noontime.

Just in case this is news to you, I explained our decision in yesterday’s very long post.

My poor aching toe (thank you for thinking of it) seems to be doing OK. Not one inkling of any infection and that is as good as it gets.

This evening I led an hour and a half meeting from 6pm to 7:30pm. Then I was asked to stay and attend an 8pm NA meeting which I did. Tomorrow at 9am I’ll be attending a morning NA meeting.

Some of you may wonder ‘what is up’ with first a visit to MARIINSK / МАРИИHСК for four nights and then onward East for a visit in Tayshet. I’ll very probably never be this way again in this lifetime. When I came through Mariinsk by train last Monday, I liked what little I saw. When our plans for Novosibirsk and Kazakhstan changed rather radically and we decided to head back to Irkutsk, I said to Mike, “Let’s visit Mariinsk.” He was amiable to this and so plans were made. Then we looked for another major Trans Siberian Railway station West of Irkutsk and came up with Tayshet.

What’s in Mariinsk and Tayshet? We’re going to find out!

Cap and Patti (now thinking of her plans to fly to Seoul where we’ll meet up).

I, too, was captivated by the link to the Trans Siberian Railway and could not stop reading it. This railway spans one-quarter of the globe! Stunning. Your next adventures sound intriguing. And then, you will be back in Irkutsk where you still have your flat there (we hope!). I will likely be making some reservations today. Stay tuned. Smiling and loving you. Patti

Thank You My Dear One for this another welcome comment. Yes the Trans Siberian Railway is really something isn’t it? I am happy you used and then liked where the link took you. Amazing isn’t it? I hope that you are comfortable with the reservations that you ultimately make for getting over here. This begins with at least a three day stay in Seattle. No issue with the flat in Irkutsk remaining viable, we have been in touch with Leonid and all looks well there. I’ll stay tuned. Love Cap
