IF IT ISN’T BROKEN .. DON’T FIX IT!

I wrote that about staying longer in Pondicherry.  I was not ready to leave Pondicherry on 21 March and after re-thinking my plans to leave on 21 March I extended my stay until the 27th of March.

In hindsight it was an EXCELLENT DECISION to spend that extra six days in Pondi.  I really settled in and put up many additional Posts.

Oddly now I find myself in the exact identical space and frame-of-mind regarding Kodaikanal!

I arrived here in Kodai last Thursday the 28th.  I planned to leave Kodai this coming Wednesday the 3rd of April.

Since spending three nights in Kodaikanal last February 2012 I have wanted to return.

SO WHY-ON-EARTH RUSH AWAY AFTER ONLY A SIX NIGHT STAY?

So I have CANCELLED my reservation to leave Kodai this Wednesday.

When will I leave Kodai?  ‘Around’ 15 April I think.

Further I have CANCELLED my plans to return from Kodai to Chennai and then travel from Chennai to Mysore and to Ooty!

I now plan to go by 16-passenger private mini-bus DIRECTLY FROM KODAIKANAL TO OOTY.

I was told in Pondicherry this was NOT POSSIBLE.

Here in Kodaikanal I was told .. “No problem!” .. This is India and it is a ‘go figure’ idiosyncrasy!

All that remains for me to do is to formally cancel my booked-and-paid railway reservation from Chennai to New Delhi.  I plan to do this tomorrow the 2nd of April.

Just thought I’d bring you all up-to-date on my travel thinking ..
